Downloading the demo now... so I'll reserve judgement until I play this. ET was kinda fun except for the friggin' air strike spammers. Nothing like watching your frame rate drop after 6 people drop smoke all at the same time. They should have made it one of the special abilities after you level up... it was rare to find a server where people were smart about it.

Well, there you have it... toss in skiing, a jet pack and a disc launcher and you have Tribes: Vengeance. At least we now know for certain the Unreal engine will be able to handle huge outdoor maps with no trouble.

I'm going to second that! On most stuff they give you free FedEx Saver shipping. Usually you'd think that free shipping = slow. I picked up a digital camera and 64 meg XD card (the card was $30, but because of the bundle I got $20 off) and it got here to NY in 2 days. I was totally shocked! Now I check their site first for most things (although TCWO is still a favorite).

Thanks for the linkage - wow, what a trip down memory lane. I remember getting the various European Amiga magazines with the coverdisks and watching the mind-blowing demos, and I'd record my favorite MODs onto cassettes so I can listen to them at work, in the car, etc. If I had only known that techno would be huge...
