The unreal engine always seems to be a very pretty one to look at, but the "interactivity" of the worlds is generally lacking.

Have you never played Deus Ex...? That was hella interactive, and powered by Unreal. But it all depends on the developer, not the engine. Duke Nukem was interactive too, and the Build engine is way primitive in comparison (obviously, it was released approx. 10 years ago).

Huh- call me crazy **the crowd yells "You're crazy!!!!**, but I found Riley's comment amusing.

And, on that note, Camaro -- I don't think your scripts are working with GM 0.6.2 -- the blog indicates that some changes may be necessary to scripts to make them work. I haven't tested the blocker script, but the post enhancer doesn't seem to be doing anything.

Yeah, right now I'm using Firefox 1.0.6, I haven't installed the beta since I don't want anything to get messed up. I'll have to wait for the official FF release and fix the scripts then. Thanks for the heads-up, Z. I've bookmared the blog link and will keep an eye on things.

Yep, you need the Greasemonkey extension. I'm using GM 0.3.5 because I had problems with the latest one.

Actually, I'm working on the next version of Punk Buster - I've got a "shit list" that will hide multiple users. Showing the original hidden post is giving me problems right now though...

I'll put up what I have so you can play with it. (Riley, dsmart and Hellbinder are set as default, took out Enahs)

Post Enhancer: increases the size of the subject, e-mail and password boxes, and puts buttons below the message box that insert the special codes. You can even select a range of text and put the codes around it with a click of the button (just like a word-processor).

Punk Buster: hides the posts of a Blue's user you specify, and shows a warning box indicating that the post has been hidden. This script would need to be edited to change the name of the punk you want hidden. (Sorry Enahs, I have you as the default since I needed to test it on someone that posts a lot...) Right now there is no way to un-hide the posts, to read one you must reply to it.

Thanks to Camaro76 and the power of the Firefox browser and the Greasemonkey extension, you can now wipe out those offensive trollish posts forever!

To install:

• Browse to the link given below, and choose "Save Page As", then save it to disk.
• Open up the file in Notepad and change the name of the troll that you want to ignore.
• Save the file, then choose File -> Open File from the menu to load the page back into the browser.
• Choose Tools -> Install User Script from the menu.
• Hit OK to install, then OK when it tell you the script has loaded successfully.

That's it! From now on, all of the punk's posts are replaced by a warning box. Surf the Blues News forums in peace!

Known Issue: Currently there is no way to un-hide the troll unless you hit "Reply" to the message.

And what does this do?
