Well, there's only so much Nigerian transvestite midget bukkake a man can stomach. I got through two, maybe three images before yodelling down the porcelain megaphone. If the producers of Fear Factor need an episode idea I will direct them to your site, 'k?

The more and more I hear about Vista, the less and less I want to buy it. Maybe I'll start educating myself about Linux. I don't really need transparent windows flying around, a home movie maker, and 50 pounds of whatever other bullshit Microsoft wants to load down my computer with. I just want something that runs my damn software without crashing and without hackers breaking into my system.

Vehicles and physics were done by FarCry 9 months earlier (and done substantially better).

Did you miss the part in Half-Life 2 where you could hit people in the head with a toilet? Or a filing cabinet? Or a chunk of concrete? Or a toilet? You could use a radiator as a shield. You could use a desk as a barricade. The grav gun made the game what it was IMO.

Are you allowed to just give toast away like that?

I'm sorry, but this is a violation of the Wonder Bread EULA and I must report this!

Article 3. RESTRICTIONS ON USE OF LICENSED MATERIALS

1. Except to the extent otherwise expressly permitted hereunder or otherwise by the owner of the relevant rights in or to the LICENSED MATERIALS concerned, and without limitation, the following restrictions shall apply to your use of the LICENSED MATERIALS ("sliced bread heated and browned"):

(a) You may not copy or reproduce any portion of the LICENSED MATERIALS.

(b) You may not distribute, share through any pastry network, transfer, sell, lease or rent any of the LICENSED MATERIALS to any other person, in whole or in part.

(c) You may not change, alter, modify or create derivative works, enhancements, extensions or add-ons to any of the LICENSED MATERIALS.

(d) You may not decompile, reverse engineer or disassemble any of the LICENSED MATERIALS, in whole or in part.

(e) You may not export the LICENSED MATERIALS outside of the country where you reside. (This clause 1(e) of Article 3 shall not be applicable within the European Economic Area (EEA).)

(f) You will at all times comply with, and will not circumvent or attempt to circumvent, any of the restrictions on use set forth in this Article 3 or elsewhere in this EULA.

2. In the event that the owner of the LICENSED MATERIALS is a party other than WONDER BREAD (each, a “LICENSOR”), you agree that such LICENSOR shall be a third party beneficiary under this EULA and, as such, shall have the right to enforce the terms and conditions of this EULA that pertain directly to such LICENSOR’S rights in and to the LICENSED MATERIALS concerned as if such LICENSOR was a party to this EULA. The rights granted to a Licensor under this Article shall not be revoked.

3. WONDER BREAD and each LICENSOR reserve the right to use the TOAST and/or any APPROVED MEDIA TOASTER to enforce their respective rights in and to the CONTENT, including any and all of the restrictions on use set forth in this Article 3, at any time, without notice to you.

(fill in a joke about your least favorite game here)

Okay then...

BC3K/Battlecruiser Millenium/Universal Combat carefully walked to the local drugstore and asked the pharmacist for Viagra.
The pharmacist asked, "How many?"
BC3K/Battlecruiser Millenium/Universal Combat replied, "Just a few, maybe a half dozen. I cut each one into four pieces."
The pharmacist said, "That is too small a dose. That won't get you through sex."
BC3K/Battlecruiser Millenium/Universal Combat said, "Oh, I am eighty-five years old and I don't even think about sex anymore.
I just want it to stick out far enough so I don't pee on my shoes."

Speaking of movies, what's coming out in the next few months worth seeing?

Silent Hill looks like it might be pretty good. I'm shocked that we have a bunch of gamers here and noone mentioned it! I finished the first game of the series and thought it was great.

Camaro - what's the BOOBIES Filter? Filter out posts with BOOBIES in the subject?

Grasman got it right - it switches the word Star Force to BOOBIES because I got sick and friggin' tired of reading about friggin' Star Force! So I decided to have a little fun. It also switches the Blues News logo to sponge's Star Force News logo.

And why did you remove the link to your enhancing script?

There's not enough room for all the links in the signature - you only get 255 characters. Also for some reason the post enhancer is not working on my machine. I figured it was broken so I took out the link until I get a little time to look at it. I'll have to put up a page with links to the separate Greasemonkey scripts on my web site, and just link to the page here in my sig.

Yeah, I'm not sure why Camaro wants us to boycott BOOBIES either..

Well, when you consider how powerful BOOBIES can be, it makes sense. I know I've done stupid things in the presence of BOOBIES.

Then, the old cars (god the old cars). So many would become obsolete over night they'd have TONS of cars being scrapped. And attempting to recycle metal and such would use more energy and such.

Hey now, some of us like to save old cars from the scrap heap. Many junkers can be stripped of parts which are then resold. There are lots of people restoring old rusted wrecks that have been pulled out from the scrapyards (and the hobby is growing). And those cars are kept in almost showroom new condition - some are barely driven. If necessary, the engines can be converted easily to run on ethanol. So I guess you can say that hot rods can be good for the environment, because you're in essence recycling a whole car.

edit:
Getting older cars off the streets is more beneficial for the environment than replacing one newer car with a hybrid, especially with the increased energy costs of the hybrids.

How about running older cars on ethanol instead?

However, in the HDR I saw for DOD, I have to agree with Solip. It made everything look shiny and unrealistic. I haven't seen it in CS yet, but the extra hit on framerates, I can do without. I'm just not that interested in things that can degrade my performance while playing online, especially if I'm not all that impressed with the implementation of it.

So then, go into Video Options -> Advanced -> High Dynamic Range and turn the HDR off. Or add "mat_bloom 0" and "mat_hdr_enabled 0" in the DoD config file. Ignorance is no excuse, it's not like you don't have options FFS. It takes less than a second to Google for a tweak (or just look in your game video settings). Cripes.

http://www.dodnetwork.com/index.php?page=fpslagbuster

http://www.twitchguru.com/2005/09/22/seeing_the_lost_coast/page5.html

And for the record, he talked about multiplayer for 1 whole paragraph. The rest of his post was talking about how games were blurry and looked like crap with HDR on...

"Cause generally HDR makes lots of games look worse, not just with the lack of AA in certain implementations, but generally makes things blurry. Devs seem to just be throwing in HDR to help sell 3d cards."

"Any of the recent games i've played with HDR look like ass."

Everyone better get used to HDR because you'll be seeing it in more and more games as time goes on (PC *and* next-gen console games). As long as the devs give you an option to TURN THE SHIT OFF, what's the big deal?

Secondly valves implementation of HDR is sorely lacking, as it makes everything else look like complete and blurry ass. Not to mention makes everthing, including trees, sand, wood shiny as all hell.

Yes, this looks completely horrible. They had to go and make things look more realistic and less like a cartoon! God forbid it should make the game more immersive.

http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2005/09/21/lost_coast_benchmark/1.html

I mean, why do those damn developers have to go and actually use those features on my $300 video card? It just makes everything run like a slideshow!

http://www.bit-tech.net/gaming/2005/09/21/lost_coast_benchmark/2.html

And those other games just look like complete crap. Even though my glasses are broken and there's vasoline all over my CRT. It's just all so blurry!

http://screenshots.teamxbox.com/gallery/1248/Project-Gotham-Racing-3/p1/

I know exactly what I'm talking about with HDR. Really!

http://arstechnica.com/articles/culture/lostcoast.ars/2

I hear they're adding something called "physics" to games next. Can you imagine what kind of farce that will be?
