Timing is not great...I think they should have waited until the week after they got the EE out of the door...It's hard to justify financing a sequel when the first game remains unfinished. I think that D:OS is a masterpiece...but this KS doesn't agree with my sense of proper timing.

Unfinished? I don't understand. I played through all of D: OS and it was the complete game.

Really? The fact that the second zone basically had no town and placeholder NPCs didn't annoy you? Or that the game shipped with 2 completely undeveloped companion NPCs and the rest of one's party had to be fleshed out by mindless drones?

Wasteland 2's release mimicked Divinity's. The first portion of the game was relatively complete and the bulk of what was shown during development. The latter portion of the game was a rushed mess shoved out the door to hit a self imposed release date, no doubt because development funds were dried up.

Divinity had some great combat that remained fun throughout the game, but it was a fucking TERRIBLE RPG.

DA:I was worth it for the characters alone, story was solid too.

No they weren't, and no it wasn't. The main character in BioWare titles is invariably given the worst dialog, which makes the main character in BioWare titles unbelievable and detached from me as a player, which invariably makes everything else fall apart. Witcher 3's Geralt was uniformly believable (even more so than in its predecessors) and kept the whole story together. Some of my favorite parts of the game were simple bits of levity between him and his companions, mostly at and around Kaer Morhen. BioWare can do a decent job at developing characters, but they never interact in meaningful ways, instead opting to flood the player character with all their attentions as if all else are non corporeal.

As for the story... you gotta be shitting me. Random Bad Dude opens magic portal in the sky because he's bad. Player Character is the only one that can stop him because, you know, magic powers and shit.

The second season is a mostly conventional cop drama without the benefit of McConaughey's fascinatingly bizarre character.

Yeah, three decades of medical research conducted by countless non partisan scientific bodies fail to find any negative effects on anyone besides PKU sufferers, but I'll take yours and Jenny McCarthy's words for it, instead.

What the fuck! The Diet Cherry Pepsi I've been drinking for years suddenly tastes like shit. I look at the can and notice "now aspartame free" at the top.

Fucking assholes ruined my drink!

Think about what it means... they had to add a toxic synthetic chemical to make it not taste like crap.. and you were drinking this waste water

You're right, I'm going to take up drinking good, natural, healthy alcohol instead.

Light in tone my ass, the story is dark. Not earth shattering by any stretch but it is smooth and well paced. Really underrated game, though.

It's nothing new and hardly specific to American culture. Political powers have long donned the guises of news and journalism to sow misinformation and surreptitiously promote agendas.

Which is why those prudent among us first examine the source of any story rather than assuming it to be true. Everything needs context. Modern news takes any grain of information and dilutes it across their considerable distribution networks post haste because they suffer the belief that being first is better than being accurate. This inexorably leads to the slow death of journalism; it is far quicker and less expensive to report what someone else said than to report on one's own. As a result, bad information spreads like wildfire rather being snuffed out by other more accurate reporting or any kind of vetting processes. In this way the current sorry state of news can be attributed to incompetence and greed more than outright malicious intent, though the damage incurred is regardless the same.

Great, they recommend a graphics card that doesn't exist. GTX 760 is a 2GB card, there were a handful of (pointless) 4GB variants.

At least it felt like a finished game. Divinity after the first zone was like a giant placeholder, and Wasteland 2 was beta material at best.

So clearly the guy advising against 6700k was wrong. Overclocks well, costs the same, runs fine, and the new z170 mainboards look awesome.

Games are iterative to a fault. I don't mind the obtuse story telling because, frankly, games unanimously offer shit stories regardless, but when so much of your games hasn't changed after this much time (the UI, for instance, which was never any good to begin with), it's time to step back and reexamine what a sequel should set out to achieve. I really don't like seeing what was probably the most innovative game of the PS3 devolve into a Call of Duty development pattern.

Skylake TDP is down so its the better choice if your going for a mobile system like a laptop, but for a desktop Skylake is really underwhelming.

Maybe we could wait for benchmarks before jumping to that...

EVGA GeForce GTX 960 4GB. I run the game at Ultra settings and it plays fine.

Considering a GTX980 can't average 60FPS at 1080p on Ultra settings, I'm gonna go ahead and say you're wrong on that one. You'd be lucky to average 30FPS.
