its too easy, so its not good in that sense - its not nearly as fleshed out as something like MGSV or even Far Cry, when you consider the takedown skill trees and all that, the AI reactivity and so forth

its not quite an afterthought, but its just half-baked... sure it "works" but thats not nearly enough IMO

i guess it upsets me because its so close to being actually really good.. maybe WD3 will get a home run on that

Uh, you think Far Cry has better stealth than Watch_Dogs? Really? Watch_Dogs gives you way more tools to manipulate the AI with. You have so many ways to distract the AI, hide from the AI and neutralize the AI. In FC, you just throw a rock, wait for an enemy to walk towards it and then stab him in the back. Or just snipe him with a silenced sniper rifle.

MGSV is definitely a better stealth game than Watch_Dogs but Far Cry? Not even close.

I knew to wait for your response

But I think all that was needed was the reference to "takedowns"... Leaving dead bodies all over the place ain't stealth.

But Twitch is already Amazon's own version of Twitch.

Huh... I guess I disagree with you two. I think the stealth works really well. I don't think I've killed a single person in the game.

I first run reconnaissance with the drone. And then I do everything I can with the RC car, and finally I only enter the building if they require me to be in person for a certain objective, and that's pretty rare.

Am I the only person on earth who doesn't care that there are garbage games on Steam?

Do people really just buy games like they're renting a video in the 90s, aimlessly wandering around?

Do you think its easy to keep an independent studio of that size operating? I'd say management is especially competent considering the outcome that most developers in their position experience.

You said they were babbling but it was pretty clear and said "at all" but now you're equivocating.

I agree with the rest except maybe 6...
It's a display technology. You don't ask a flat panel maker to specify their end user.

long terms success of virtual reality

What are they babbling about? There's no long-term success at all.

1. VR hasn't reached broad market penetration.
2. VR is a niche product.
3. No killer app.
4. Expensive entry cost.
5. Unproven technology. Mostly "beta" and "early access."
6. Aimlessness (Is it for gamers? Does it have a medical application? Can teachers use it? etc.)
7. Costly R&D.
8. Horrible ROI.

In the past, I opined that VR needs to produce something within a year that becomes "so necessary or desirable that it proves the core value of some larger technology." If it doesn't happen, VR will fade and die just like any other new tech. There's only so much money Facebook, HTC, and others can dump into VR before it becomes a costly failure. The shareholders are going to demand something soon.

You're talking about the current state of VR.
The phrase "commitment to the long term success" is future looking.
They're committed to making it successful by improving/fixing the things you listed.

This is why the whole ladder system means absolutely nothing. The people at the top are all cheating.

This is why I absolutely despise and hate PVP. It takes away from the devs putting real time into creating a real game instead idiots running around swinging their dicks to see who can be top shit head.

LOL. Most of the people at the top are also streamers and on well recognized teams who play competitively. I wonder if this is just confirmation bias leading you to say these things, or perhaps you actually do have a 20-gallon tinfoil hat picking up on all these signals?

You'll never convince them that anyone amazingly good isn't cheating.

I have to say, I find that pretty annoying.

Yeah I'm definitely not making excuses for these guys.
It was a pretty shitty move to talk about things that clearly weren't going to make the game (though this should have been obvious, and was to some).

Also I should have probably said "analogy" instead of "metaphor" right... or no?

Way to mangle those metaphors.

A movie trailer containing scenes that got cut from the movie is a perfectly fine metaphor.

Your metaphor where the director, musician, or actors change isn't even close.

I'm liking the sound of these changes.

"shield" is an overlooked role a lot of the time I think. It's good to hear that symmetra will be joining that crew with Rein, Zarya, Winston and D-va to a lesser degree. I don't really count Mei since you can't shoot through hers like the others.

The edge is a giant pain in the ass in my experience. Your palm is almost always touching the screen which can make typing annoying. My wife has the S7 edge and it drives her nuts. It is most prevalent when operating with one hand and reaching for characters on the far side of the keyboard. Otherwise the hardware is nice. In very tempted by the pixel as I've been almost solely a nexus user

If your hand is too small to reach and you need to do something one handed, you can triple tap the home button to shrink the screen size to something more in line with the original iPhone screen.

I rarely do this, often find it easier to just retype something 2 or 3 times until I get it right while stretching. The phone size is about the biggest I can use one handed with minimal frustration.

Android also has a built in "one-finger-keyboard" that pushes the whole keyboard to one side of the screen that you can set and adjust. I recently enabled it, and although it looks strange, it is much easier to type without stretching or accidentally hitting keys with the flesh thumb/palm area.

That actually looks like it could be fun. I never played the first Titanfall, because it didn't have a campaign. Sadly, the lack of co-op in this one is also a deal-breaker for me.

I can't understand why so many developers decide against co-op support (yes, a few have explained their "reasons", but they're always BS).

BS reasons like time and money.
1. Depending on the game, that might be a good reason. However, that's almost never the reason(s) they give.
2. For many games (like this one), if they start the project with co-op support in mind, the added time/money would be minimal. Only when it's added later as an after-though, would it cost significantly more time/money.

Source: I'm a programmer.

Me too.
And my job is crushing dreams of high risk out of scope additions.
