Death threats for a delay? Seems about right for 2020.

And even more right for what the past 4 years has been, its embolden a lot of closet people to come out.

FBI could become a lot more busier soon.

The last patch a small one, started to list things of more enemies, more aggressive enemies, better combat. Please continue... this is where it needs to go to pull those in that don't just want a movement simulator.

The 6800 imo falls into where a 3070TI would be, imo pure raster numbers shown it is noticeably better than a 3070 with what little we have now.

On the DLSS front, to me it is about supported games and to me DLSS will only have 33% of all the big AAA games. I figure 1/3 are AMD sponsored and 1/3 won't support either.

BUT with AMD's version of DLSS and it being console compatible, the last part might be the biggest game changer of all. I can't see how a Console Developer of a AAA game wouldn't take advantage of that performance period. It doesn't matter about sponsorship, it is about putting your game in the best light against the competition on the console, almost like they have to do this AND ONCE THEY DO that all carries over to the PC since it is done. So looking down the road I could see nearly ALL AAA games supporting AMD's open source version because that is on the consoles. That is also part of the synergy.

I could be off, but I can see that happening.

AMD looking strong, neck and neck with Nvidia at a little better cost. The only big difference I see is DLSS, but they mentioned some features that may be competitive. I also notice they do have some synergies if you combo it with a 5x00 AMD CPU. 3090 has to reduce price and they now need a 3070TI.

I like how conclusions state this isn't really a 4K card but the next gen consoles somehow are touting 4K/60 no sweat with lesser HW?

They're touting 4K/60 in the same way NVIDIA is touting 8K. Which is to say, it's marketing drivel. The games won't hit that target unless sacrifices are made somewhere, in native resolution or graphical detail.

We'll know soon. This is the oddest HW release period ever. We have next gen consoles coming out shortly. I don't think I've ever seen a generation come in so silently and not because the HW is bad, just odd.

What most of these challenged reviewers don't get is that very few of us play games at 4k. First off a decent 4k monitor cost more than the computer, 2nd, FPS is far more important than resolution in most games and 3rdly, how many of us are going to spend $550+ on a graphics card, when less expensive ones do the trick?

4k is this weird beast which has become the go-to metric in spite of the fact that very very few people use it and, as Steve from GamersNexus said, the posts are continuously being moved with each generation. They still include trickle down benchmarks for 1440p and 1080p so that's always great but the big selling point in the case of the 3070 is that it's able to do what the 2080 Ti could (roughly) do for $700 less across the board so they really want to put emphasis on the cost to performance.

It's important because that is the standard now for TV's and the consoles will be doing 4k/60 on AAA games from what I'm reading today.

I'd like for 8k not to happen for a long long time, because even 4K puts a ton of stress on games. I'd love to have more going on in game than just bumping up resolution and that eating up all the performance. Sometimes I wonder if I only get a small amount of baddies on screen because they are concerned about all the HW being able to play it satisfactorily. I've felt we've been held back in better game play because of say last gen consoles.

To the last question there are a lot of people that will spend $700 and more, they can't make them fast enough. People spend money on their pc's. I'm either a 3070/3080 someday or Big Navi, but I suspect whatever I buy will be $450+.

So it's 500$. Yeah, if AMD can match that performance and undercut it by say 50$ it's game over man, game over!

If that were the case then how does one value DLSS and better overall compatibility? Then the obvious availability. I'm wanting to hear beyond just the raw numbers the other things AMD can do that Nvidia can.

Oculus was always the inferior device anyway.

It is too bad that isn't true. Who has a better all around device than the Oculus Quest? And for $300. I'm not aware. So there's that.

Looks very solid watch a number of streams yesterday and this looks better to me than Amnesia as those streams were boring.

As stated each can learn from the other. Solasta does the basics better and that is one thing Larian sort of struggled with and I don't know why. Solasta is more 5e to the book, that could change with BG3, but there is already a mod that makes BG3 much more 5e.

Slick and the rest to your point, I headed to the asscreed reddit page, plenty of people we're over the moon with the details of the roadmap to the point of already putting in their $120 for it all. That's why they do it. Now I liked overall the roadmap but I just think to myself I'll get that at 66% off at some point if I get and like the base game.

Personally I'm wanting to see what they've done different this time, less the background. I would say this is the first game that we should see the CEO's words in some way applied here. Over a year ago UBI stated they got the word from us, that they are going to start making the franchises feel more unique between each and add new things to their formula. So that is what I want to hear about.

I have yet to see ray tracing be that big a deal in any game, usually I am far more concerned about frame rate to even turn it on. What a really find ridiculous is the idiot retailers still stuck with 20xx cards that have not lowered prices. Hopefully AMD will have enough stock with their new cards, Nvidia will be suffering for lack of product into the next year. I was talking to a friend at Microcenter, they ordered 2000 3070's and are getting 90. Nvidia's woes continue.

We'll still need to see what AMD, Sony and MS can do. It maybe an issue where the market has become too big to fit any immediate demand. We also could be feeling the effects of C19 around the world. My guess at this time, anything new and leading in high tech here is going to be very hard to get.

While I am all for government oversight on big businesses and potential abuses, I feel like Google is more popular because it is in fact one of the best search engines. I've tried others on many occasions and they just aren't as good at giving back decent results. If anything, I would prefer they look into their Youtube management. There seems to be more problems there.

Right and Amazon is the best at what they do. Bell Labs was once upon a time as well.
