Remastered or not, I am not one to go back and play games I've already completed.

You are not the target audience. The target audience is the new generation of teenagers or young adults with next gen consoles PS5/XSX who are supposed to buy the new Mass Effect after getting hooked on the remasters. EA's goal is to keep their venerable Mass Effect franchise relevant throughout this upcoming console cycle. They also need a few shiny, big eggs in the basket to make their subscription model more attractive. Reviving Mass Effect makes a whole lot of sense from a business perspective.

Yep games live forever now. Someday they'll be games that have done way better in the future then when released and if the authors are still alive they'll still get to reap the rewards.

I don't understand all this handwringing. It was over Tuesday night. The problem rests with states like Michigan where they cannot start tabulating mail-in ballots until the day of the election. Most sane states start tabulation soon as they get them. The only people that can fix that is congress.

The people that can fix this are the states and only them and they will, they've already talked about it. That said MI was complete faster than most states, many are still counting. They just couldn't call until later because it was so close.

The GOP has certainly done everything they can to legally rig which amounts to the same thing - defunding the post office, gerrymandering, disenfranchising voters through all manner of arbitrary rules, suing the shit out of everything to keep votes from being counted. And then there's the outright illegal shit they've been doing like putting fake ballot boxes all over the place in California, etc. And I'm sure they're got their insiders doing their best to trash mail from Democratic strongholds, etc. In spite of it all it still looks like Joey Bides is gonna squeak in there. Aaaa oooo!

Yes they have become the party of projection in many ways.

Fox actually made it the easiest to grasp and it isn't all that difficult, they would show results of all states and you can see in states called long ago almost none were done, some were still in the 80's as of Friday evening. When it is super close then you have to actually wait on them to count them all vs knowing it's over at a certain point mathematically. Nothing more than that, yes it is extended because of more mail in ballots then ever because of c19. All logical, just takes time.

The states that count the mail in's after, some allowing mail in's for the first time, said they will change their plans next go around, ya know how it is supposed to work. See an issue, make it better.

Update: For last gen games, the XSX seems to be a bit faster when it comes to loading times, which is odd since Sony was supposed to have double the SSD speed? But nothing here is optimized yet.
https://www.gamespot.com/videos/playstation-5-vs-xbox-series-x-load-times-comparison/2300-6454169/

Right this was/is to be one of the big things it would have even in front of PC's. So I get the idea a game has to be designed for it and those could be coming. But you think they would have redesigned the OS/UI to take full advantage now. We know they have a fast SSD in it, but currently it seems it is bottle-necked exactly how PC's are, seeing but a fraction of that in true throughput. So yes initially here, what's up Sony?

Listen AMD has made up all the ground, but it isn't like Intel is behind or even not as cost effective. It's pretty competitive right now, that said I'm probably going AMD soon.

Dungeons 3 is probably the best iteration of the Dungeon Keeper clones/wannabes/knockoffs, although none of these newer games really seem to capture the feel of DK1. Rose colored glasses, possibly. If people have been getting every EGS freebie this whole time, they are starting to amass a pretty decent library of good games by now. Hopefully it's helping the developers/publishers as much as it is the end users.

Even more than War for the Overlord? That is like a clone. Dungeons series always had their own take on it and from what I hear each just got better, haven't played 3 yet.

LOL

From what I've read, the XBX is a PC. So I guess we PC gamers "won."

Yep, but it is also a smart move, consoles should now just get fasted and keep compatibility for much longer. So much R&D saved.

If the series x natively supported keyboard and mouse, I would seriously consider buying one and just use my PC for strategy games. It's way cheaper than these next-gen gpus.

This, if they did that from the start things would have been a lot different. They were going to, but they got scared of hacking and look at them now, well in second place out of two.

I'm confident I'm going to get one, but in most benches not much of a change from the 3700x to say a 5600X series. One shows a lot of improvement and one the older series is faster, not sure how that happens.

Yep. I'm doing the Pathfinder Kingmaker Endless Dungeon Rouge lite, great way to try out builds and just feast on tactical combat and forget the rest.

It's weird seeing so many people hyped on these cards when I remember other threads where people were talking about how shitty the AMD drivers were, and how they still had major bugs in the 5x00 line. Doesn't seem like there's much reason to believe they are going to magically come up with better drivers this time around. The nVidia cards might not be as good, but at least their drivers usually get to a decent point.

Well I don't recall a "nVidia cards might not be as good" any time in recent history, they've only been the best in performance.

Sounds like a game in R&D.

that's the vibe i got reading the line "here's the work the team's been exploring".

drawing board stuff, probably skeleton crew since we're nearly 2 years out and they're posting skill trees.

And it's been exactly like this for at least 6 months now. Must be nice to be able to design games in concepts that may or may not work.
