Trump's a crook and his tweet is just repeating his shit over and over and it works for his base, but it is 10% bullshit. If he had his way 1 instance of voter fraud anywhere in the country means the whole thing is bad. What a scam artist.

DLSS will be used as a crutch for poor or sloppy coding.

Not until AMD comes up with a solution that rocks. The games will need to play great on the consoles where they currently don't have that luxury and that will come right on over to the pc less a bad port.

Right on the CPU side of it, but there are games that aren't and for example leave DLSS out of it you can change resolution sometimes and still nothing changes. But yeah I need to do more testing on my end on this. Death Stranding was one this past weekend I couldn't tell a different no matter DLSS off or on, any settings there.

These DLSS performance gains are about the biggest BS on the internet. Not saying it does not boost performance some, but the percentages are way off.

Yeah I'm going to need more details on how different HW affects this. On my older CPU and 2060 GPU in most cases I'm not seeing much of a difference. So is it because of my CPU or as you say this is a bit overstated? It's one of the big questions I have as that could be the difference between a 3080 and a 6800XT.

I barely stepped into it, as I can't bear to play D2 right now, and I've seen similar thoughts.. Seems like a very empty expansion so far? Even worse than Shadowkeep, which I actually really liked.

It's like people paid for a big patch that removed content. I don't quite get it. Shadowkeep was pretty awesome in what content it did have, but what the hell is Beyond Light?

And I was sitting on the sidelines waiting for expansions to be 1/2 off, because to me this is a very expensive game. To now find out Shadowkeep you can't build up your guns past 1050 there, so the past expansions are stuck in last years gear score. Does anyone think this will change? If not I'm done with this, not big but hey it was still dollars to them.

I will go back into FO76 to play this, going to be a pretty big change for me, they had the whole weapon/perks re-balance that I hear had a major effect on the gameplay. This game is quirky af, but imo it still is quite good and plenty of content to put a good month or two into it, well at least from when I last played which was up to about a month or so after Wastelanders update.

On top of of it, it's free, they say Dec 1rst. So Dec 8th would be a somewhat safe date.

One person who has had a brand new console fail on them means nothing. Even if he’s the Dalai Lama himself. Does the Lama have a YouTube channel?
Agreed one means squat, but how they say it, it sounded like it would be someone like me going on youtube and making that proclamation. ACG isn't bullshitting anyone.
I read the article again and don’t see them making light of who ACG is or implying anything about him being incapable or making things up.

The good thing about Mr. Penter being on the receiving end of a defective unit is that at least it will get a thorough failure analysis by Sony techs and we will hopefully find out what failed.
By the symptoms I’m guessing power supply or motherboard.

I mean the headline "A youtuber", could have been "Youtuber ACG", people would be more apt to know who's reporting this.

Really no big, but I just found that mildly interesting when I checked it out, oh you mean ACG's PS5 died.

To follow-up on a couple weeks ago, Uber, Lyft, et al. successfully bamboozled 58% of California voters into passing Prop 22, enabling them to continue ignoring state-mandated rights for their workers by refusing to classify them as employees. They spent $200 MILLION on advertising claiming the exact opposite of what the ballot measure actually means (compared to $20M by the opposition) and their stock prices have exploded this month with growth of 30-40%, making them billions of dollars richer in return. So yeah, some scary precedents. https://www.cnn.com/2020/11/04/tech/california-proposition-22/index.html

They state they've made promises for better pay and conditions but lets see if that is binding. But yeah I knew this would fail, instead of looking out for better jobs for all as they do effect us all, I knew they'd go for Uber because people want the convenience and don't care about the quality of others jobs, which again indirectly affects theirs when the bar is lowered or raised.

The game has only sold 3 million units 2 months after launch across all platforms. That may sound like a lot, except when the estimation of the costs to make and market it were $190M dollars, plus the ongoing costs of maintaining the "live service" elements. It's player base on PC has gone off a cliff, so has its streaming numbers and most people I know who were super hyped for it got bored after a couple of weeks because like every live service game, there's no end game content. This is basically Anthem, except is cost even more because a huge chunk of the costs and profits go back to Disney. The Marvel superfans who will buy anything with that name on it have already bought it and now the word is out that it's actually a mediocre game at best. I think Square Enix will have to eat some financial crow on this one. But as someone who was fed up with this after 30 minutes with the free beta, they probably should.

Definitely Anthem but at least one full notch worse even.

The first one was kind of cool, but when I remember the great games Bioware produced that came before it, it spelled the beginning of the end for the Bioware I knew and loved. I really can't get excited about anything these guys announce anymore.

We all have are opinions, I don't believe this is a common one, to me it seems this was their pinnacle from reading others and it's been downhill since. I was overall never as enamored as Bioware as they were made out to be. Doesn't mean they didn't make a good or even a great game, but to me there plenty of ok games as well throughout. Please don't confuse this with me thinking they weren't good, just not some type of company that just put out masterpiece after masterpiece.

Remastered or not, I am not one to go back and play games I've already completed. There are so many games that I want to play out there and I don't have enough time to play half of them. That being said, the Mass Effect trilogy is one of my favorites gaming series of all time and I am glad that it can be experienced by newcomers.

I have always wanted to dive into the Mass Effect games, and this will be my first opportunity -- just wasn't good timing with the others. I'm super excited!

Here is something real imo, one issue with remasters is you lose all the mods and imo this series really benefits from mods. There is a lot of running back and forth and the mods that speed that up to me are a godsend. There are better quality graphic mods, so if this is all it brings, sometimes we even find out the mods do a better job. Now for consoles you take it, but being a PC site I would at this time honestly really question if the Remasters are better for today's audience then mods that exist with the current versions. For me I wouldn't play without mods now, they just add gameplay QoL enhancements.

You are not the target audience. The target audience is the new generation of teenagers or young adults with next gen consoles PS5/XSX who are supposed to buy the new Mass Effect after getting hooked on the remasters. EA's goal is to keep their venerable Mass Effect franchise relevant throughout this upcoming console cycle. They also need a few shiny, big eggs in the basket to make their subscription model more attractive. Reviving Mass Effect makes a whole lot of sense from a business perspective.

Yep games live forever now. Someday they'll be games that have done way better in the future then when released and if the authors are still alive they'll still get to reap the rewards.
