I finally beat the game a couple nights ago after about 70 hours of playing with maxed out ray-tracing... You don't understand the impact it has unless you've seen it in real-time.

The state-of-the-art lighting, shadows, and reflections which some claim to be "barely noticeable" is merely the baseline improvement, raising the bar throughout the game, but many scenes and environments are completely transformed. The inside of a car finally looks right, for example, barring an unfortunate bug where sometimes a character's eyes glow like the light is shining right through the back of their head. Most interior locations look way better with some global illumination, and if they have any number of reflective surfaces? Sheeit. That's when your mind is blown, realizing how much visual detail we have been accustomed to not having.

My only complaint is that your own virtual self is not shown in any of these reflections, which I'm going to chalk up to the overall state of rushed unfinished-ness with the game, especially since I've seen at least one instance where they've scripted you looking at yourself in a shiny surface and remarking upon it, except you don't see anything. I don't think it would be that much more of a performance load, so it must be down to some glitch(es) they couldn't quite work out, such as the aforementioned glowing eyes.

I'm pretty sure there was a mod 2-3 days ago that tweaks RTX settings that get you into reflections and yes there are some gfx glitches as to why the regular game doesn't have them.

This fix the GSync issue with 1080's?
Is that what's causing the black flickering with games like Doom Eternal? It's so frustrating.

I can't exactly confirm this, but that is what it would look like. I've seen this before.

Early adopter gamers are such saps to enable the game publishers who knowingly ship unfinished, untested product.

You do know that the save game corruption is related to people using cheats to spawn infinite amounts of crafting materials? Should this have been caught in testing?

And if true they are stupid because there is a trainer out there and you can just level to whatever you want much faster yet. If you are going to cheat, might as well be efficient at that.

This game is like political shows, if you visit r/cyberpunk2077 or whatever it is, sky's falling and you can read it and pretty much agree with everything said. Then you can go to r/lowsodiumcyberpunk or whatever it is and agree with them in how engrossing and fun it is and we're happily playing. This game is quite good imo as it stands if you have the system (DLSS) and with some mods to tweak things like handling of vehicles. Their strength is story delivery and this game is once again doing that and with that it is quite fun, I keep learning more of the systems in place, there is a lot there, while at the same time a lot missing if you want to be woke.

Most wanted mod: Mod to just shut off NCPD for the time being, since their stupid af and as-is brings nothing to the game.

I'm confident when there is a definitive edition, it will be quite the experience.

I've watched some vids of this kid playing and they looked off to me. But it is also hard to believe they've gotten away with this to the point the kid can't even play well. But it looked odd. Then they go and do this, who the hell knows. As for a parent letting their kid play games like this, well say hello to millions of kids, so I don't have a big deal if a prodigy is found and it becomes more serious.

Well quite the guesses you have going on there, I'll go the other way and say they will get a worthwhile bonus and not something like a front line worker gets, it will be more of what professional bonuses look like. Lets see if something leaks.

I know people who to commission bonus structures for sales teams. And boy oh boy, can they come up with 'convenient' math to fuck you over for any reason. So rest assured the idea that they are 'getting their bonuses' is only a half truth. Rest assured though, all the executive level people are getting all their full bonuses though.

Sure bonuses can be interesting for sure, this won't fall into the Sale Persons role of bonuses which are the most creative how you say.
So what is you guess on a median bonus? I'll go 7.5% of yearly salary. Probably tiers of 5%, 10%, 15% range and executive level even more.

I Paid $250 To Drive For Lyft Last Year. Thanks JDreyer.

No Fucking Shit. How could ANYONE not realize what a fucking SCAM it is driving for these companies?

CA had it going in the right direction but Uber and Lyft got it on the ballot and scared the people once again and voted for the GIG companies to continue on, it is a tough sell this way because people like the convenience and price of these services so if they voted for the worker they also voted against the things they like about the service.

One thing from the article:
“When the IRS’s $0.58 per mile reimbursement is applied, the year-end income numbers can be pretty devastating to ponder. As I said before, I was losing money driving for Lyft and Uber after taxes and expenses.”

This makes it sound like it is a tax penalty, this is reimbursement for self employed miles driven, not a loss. Perhaps they mean it as a benefit, but how it is written it sounds like “I made X then when I applied the IRS rate, X became much smaller.” X should have grown (if they qualify), now maybe that sucks still, just sayin.

Sort of interesting I wasn't thinking of the IRS rate... what that means is tax payers are paying them for this deduction which Uber and Lyft should be paying instead to the drivers.

These sites are going to start needing to add the GPU + DLSS as a separate card when DLSS is able to be used. It's too big of a difference to not mention it and who's not going to use it if you have a RTX card? Also the only DLSS score you can get here is with RT on and again I'll bet well over 50% will run this game with DLSS on and RT off. We're trying to get the most frames this pig will get us.

Don't forget that they're likely 'lying but telling the truth' here. In that I'm pretty sure:

1) yes the bonuses are coming
2) its no where near what was actually promised, which probably wasnt even publicly known anyway

Functionally its a way to tell the truth, but be lying. I guarantee whatever 'bonus' structure they had allocated, and yes you do have to allocate these bonuses as part of your budgeting, were already obliterated by the 6 day work week increase and all the other nonsense they've done. Meaning that they're all probably getting some utter pittance of a 'bonus'.

Oh remember that crunch? Yeah its still going. Do you think anyone on the core engine team is even allowed to go home with all the face melting bugs across 6 platforms? They're gonna be working on bugs, console certification, etc until 2021.

"Hey so like you know how our utter failure in project management over 6 years caused you to crunch for years, enforce fake 6 day work weeks we were already making you doing, and also hey you gotta work through Christmas and New Years because of all the bugs and stuff? Here's like $100 gift card 'bonus'.

Well quite the guesses you have going on there, I'll go the other way and say they will get a worthwhile bonus and not something like a front line worker gets, it will be more of what professional bonuses look like. Lets see if something leaks.

They supply them with free cards and they want their flagship features reviewed. It's a two way street here. I know if they add DLSS to those benches it looks a lot better for them vs the competition.

Same pretty much clipping issues and some UI stuff so far from me.

In my case performance is fine, so the game is good.

This is a game that will reward users that stayed with 1080P for the most part.

Once I tamed the beast performance wise, yeah this seems pretty darn good so far. Telltale FPS vibe.

Could use a "Make Favorites" button as inventory control could be better and plays a well enough roll as this game drops a shit ton of loot. But how you can transmutate, craft, upgrade, easy to understand and use.
