Oh for gods sake. Thanks alien fans - handing sega 1m dollars just bankrolled another 6 Sonic games.
Survive sitting through them if you dare.

Just goes to show that the large, large, large majority of the game buying audience buys shit based off of hype, rather than actual game quality.
Which explains why Activision and their ilk spend 20 million developing a game, and 500 million marketing it. If they reversed it, few people would likely buy it.
Good job, general game audience.
Man Creston now you made me feel bad!I buy some good games too though, honest!

Nah, to each their own. There have been games that I thought were great that most everyone else thought were shit too. (I LOVED Oblivion, for example.) There are even some people that think X-Rebirth was great.
But Destiny seems to have been nowhere near worth the hype and attention it got (nor the review scores.) and yet the large majority of people who bought it did it because the advertisements seemed cool.
Which is sad, because it means the current status quo of "Produce mediocre game, hype the shit out of it to make it sell" won't even change.

Yeah but there's already a ton of PC racing games and more on the way.

Destiny went from being a game I knew absolutely nothing about to a pre-purchased obsession after playing it this past weekend. I was just about to hit the level cap for the beta on my third character when the servers went down last night![]()
I don't even usually like console shooters, but there's something really addictive about it.
Totally agree. It didn't really all click into place for me until Saturday, and then I was totally hooked. I'm going into withdrawal today, and the break between when the beta ends and Sept is going to feel like forever.
I thought I liked the lock, from the alpha, but this time I'm totally hooked on the hunter.

I played the Destiny alpha, and I came away impressed. It was an enjoyable game. Preordered after the alpha, was on the fence beforehand. I wish it would come to the PC, but it's the first game my PS4 has gotten any action from that wasn't TowerFall.
Oh, and my PS4 died during the alpha. Had to roll out and buy a replacement, which died as well. Still have my launch day 360 for all the hubbub about that red ring shit, I'm surprised that two fucking PS4s died within a week of each other (conditioned power, too)
Good lord man, what are you doing to them? And each one should come with a one year warranty.
Yeah, you literally cannot own a PS4 yet that isn't covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

While the ME trilogy is one of my favorite series of all time (actually, as a series it might be THE favorite), is this really all you got, MS? Porting 7/4/2 year old games to the bone?
