Guessing I'm the only one here that will appreciate this 
I think the retina effect is completely over done. It seems dev's like to overuse new effects to extreme measures. Quake 2 coloured lighting is another example, or curved surfaces in Quake 3. I know if you were to look at a cliff like that in reality, your eyes wouldn't be compensating so drastically. Guess I have to see it full screen to see if it really works.

[edit] That's one of the worst Q&A's I've ever read. The questions were terrible, based completely on the preconceived ideas of the interviewers.
One good thing to come out of it though is some of the answers that were given. I like the fact that they are making quests deeper than those in Morrowind. This stuff takes time and most certainly doesn't sound like "dumming down" to me.

Ok stupid question from me. Cannot connect to multiplayer as it says I'm not actually online (even though I am). I did however not install gamespy. Is that a requirement?

All game companies are going to make console games first.
I've heard it all before. Anyone remember 3DO, the console that was supposed to kill pc gaming forever? The console didn't really last long, they started making pc titles and eventually went bankrupt.
Each time a new console is released (and we are coming around to that time again) I keep hearing this "pc gaming is dead" nonsense.

Speaking of which, and somewhat off topic, I would like to join this legion of shit faces and run the shareware version of Quake. Trouble is when I start the exe the splash will pop up for a second and then quit. I try it direct from a DOS promt and get some kind of general protection fault. I've tried the compatibility modes and other things with no luck. Anyone had this problem before and fixed it?
