Looks like it really is time to upgrade my QX6700, but damn that chip has done me proud. Might look into getting a second 680 GTX as well. Really excited for this game.

It's a weekly lads mag. Smutty jokes, lots of breats. It's pretty low brow stuff but then again that isn't a bad thing. I actually read Nuts as it's pretty similar. It's a good 30-45 minute read really.

Gotta say, that's one of things I like about Steam. Just open it up, find the demo, click install and away it goes. I'll give this a go on the 360 too to see how it stacks up. It really sounds like an impressive demo, I just hope Avalanche have improved sufficiently on the first game. I got bored of it after a while because the game world was just too big and the missions seemed to make the game into one long endless grinding session (wow that sounds wrong). Even in GTA4 I started resorting to taxi's a lot of the time because I couldn't be arsed to drive clear accross the map. Hopefully there's some kind of quick travel option here to.

Despite ME2 not coming out in the UK till Friday Game despatched it to me today and will probably end up arriving tomorrow. Not that I'm complaining. Also does anyone know what the install size on the 360 is?

Yeh JC1 was good for a couple of hours until you realised that they had a pretty thin formula spread over a MASSIVE area. There were definitely a lot of cool ideas in the game, but it was so repetitive. The game world was simply too big with not enough stuff in it to do. I'll be waiting on the first few reviews before getting this.

As far as I understand it ammo only applies to the heavy weapons, the stuff you can wipe entire groups out with so as to not unbalance the game too much.

I had to create an account in IE and then sign up for the beta in FF. Strange but it worked.

Let's see. I live in Europe but own a high spec PC and a 360, but not a PS3. The game is being released for the PC and 360 but only in North America. From the tech demo's etc the game looks a lot of fun, definately something I would be interesting in buying, but I can't. Aside from buying a PS3 for game that is in no way a console seller, what other options do I have I wonder... I guess Atari aren't bothered about software piracy.

I was pretty meh about Jade Empire, but it had a fairly decent battle mechanic. I loved Mass Effect, it practically sold me on the 360 last year to be honest. It's the reason I finally got an elite. Well, that and the elite had came out with all the changes that brought. Still, it might be sad to say so but the game really does not look that good graphically. It does seem quite Wicher'ish. I've been waiting for a true spiritual sequal to BG2 since I first finished ToB and from the videos I've seen so far Dragon Age won't be the game to scratch that itch.

Yeh if I remember correctly his Oblivion texture replacement pack was over 2gb. Wonder if he'll be doing one for Fallout 3.

After playing the demo I thought: "Yeh this isn't half bad, but I need to play more to decide." I also thought: "I really need to play this on the PC to see how it stacks up." Then I found out there was no PC demo and the PC version was delayed until next year and I thought: "Good, I've got too many damn games to play at the moment anyway."

All in all i'm pretty glad it's been delayed on the PC as it's delayed my buying of the game.

I loved Mass Effect. It's one of the few games I've played through twice on my 360.

I really hope they do better with Dragon Age. I used to LOVE BioWare games. I'd really like to see them put out another game that I'll want to play through a few times at least. We just don't seem to get those kinds of games anymore.

Bioware still haven't topped Baldur's Gate 2 (and expansion) for me. I must have played that game about 5 times now and I still love it. Hopefully DA can come close. BG2 is still one of the most epic games ever made.

Yeh thank god for the modders. Oblivion was transformed into a much better game thanks to all the texture packs, LOD fixes and interface fixes. I actually re-installed the game about a month ago to play Shivering Isles, and didn't install any mods. It's almost a different game.

The difference between DA and the two games you listed are that they were both developed for the Xbox and Xbox 360 and then ported to the PC. This has been built from the ground up as a PC game.

Hopefully they won't do a demo, but some kind of prologue chapter or alternative story. Not focused on the character you will create in the full game, but a different character. Hell, you could kill them off at the end an intergrate it into the main game somehow.

I ended up putting in about 30 hours both times, but my second play through included the DLC and I did every side quest in the game. There really is a ton of content. Still, not quite as much as BG2

I got BDtS about 3 weeks ago for the 360 version and ended up playing through the entire game again. Ended up 2000XP off level 60 starting from 57 (I think). Anyway, it was a very enjoyable 90 odd minutes of play and it had a very good ending too. It was worth 400 MS points so for free it's a must DL. Anyway, I like the mention of extra DLC in the press release, considering nothing new has been mentioned ever I'm left wondering what exactly it's going to be and when. Of course I'll have to start another new play through to play it I imagine.

You should give the expansion a go. It improves on the main quest in so many ways. I enjoyed it more than the main game. Also they improved the graphics and performance at the same time.
