Huge gears fan, but I was so damn disappointed that the hard locks on many Geforce 1060/1070 cards remain to this day. Devs keep promosing to fix it but I think they're just stalling. |

You know, today was a rotten day. Not going to off myself, but I felt fucking rotten. This made it better. 5 bucks off for existing owners of DOS Blood on Steam shows these devs are a class act. |

New NVIDIA GeForce Drivers |

I have an EVGA Geforce 1060 6 GB (P4-6161-KR) and these drivers caused a shitstorm on my system immediately. Anyone else? Error 43 in Device Manager, multi-monitor went kaput, and for some weird reason my default login user was changed. I tried both an upgrade and then a clean install-- same results. I rolled back to 425.31 and everything went back to normal. |

Metacritic is already carpet bombed with 0 review shill accounts pandering to "SJW" and "political" copypasta angles. That's not to discount that I am sure there are people unhappy with the micro-transactions, but of the zero reviews I see a lot of SJW and "political agenda" reviews.

So glad to hear this. I was a green newb at Borderlands 1 when I made it to the last boss. Some super high level guy came in my coop game, steamrolled through the final boss when I hadn't even made it to him yet. Killed the final boss, cherry picked the best loot, and immediately logged off. By the time I physically got there I had realized too late what they had done. |

Those "free" Xbox 360 are a mail in rebate, which if you do get they're going to be a prepaid Visa card. Also, most indications on reddit are saying that this tactic is Gamestop unloading all their original white fatbody Xbox 360-- aka the ones that overheat with the red ring of death. |

If you like Blood but want modern features like high resolution and widescreen, m210 has reverse engineered the Blood alpha source code and has gotten a 99% accurate version of Blood. It needs java runtimes to work. It's called Bloodgdx. http://m210.duke4.net/

I've had better luck going to cheapassgamer and slickdeals, setting alerts for any good buys at various 3rd party sites, and occasionally grey market places like cdkeys.com |

Huge boost in performance for my Geforce 960 with 4 GB of of vRAM with this patch. Roughly 40-80% fps improvements depending on the area, the least gain with the Batmobile stuff.

Blood CM |
Aug 29, 2015, 09:40 |

The Blood CM is a Blood total conversion (TC) of Monolith's 1997 shooter on the eduke32 port of the Duke Nukem 3D source code. While it is true that there are DOSbox playable Blood games out there, they still inherit all the limitations of s 25-30 year old OS that it's designed to run on. The game is not really designed to play past 800 by 600 without either getting extreme slow down and/or graphical artifacts. Blood CM supports more modern conveniences like in-game key remapping (mouse, KB, and joystick controller) and high resolutions. It is not based on the Blood source code as the IP is in open source hell despite Jason Hall wanting it released to the public. A bankrupt Atari holds the rights to it and refuses to relinquish it without a disproportionate amount of money for it (million(?s) according to Devolver Digital). For this reason the monster AI and game behavior is not perfect to the original game, but it comes quite close to it that you won't notice it unless you're a humongous Blood fan. As Blood itself is based on a modified version of Duke 3d's source code, this TC is a lot of fun and faithful if not a carbon copy of the original game.

HL2 was/is great, imo. I do a play-through every 2-4 years. Even though I have the PC version from the 2004 ATI bundle coupon (remember that?!), I am currently playing it on Xbox 360 for the silly gamerscore achievements. The only games I ever do this with are Doom/Doom 2, Final fantasy 6, and 8 bit/16 bit era Zelda games. |

Dear past-self: Team Fortress 2 finally came out in 2008, with the addition of custom party hats for your characters. There have been two expansions to Half-Life 2, but Valve software can't count to 3 so don't hold your breath on a third one. John Carmack briefly dabbled in rockets before leaving id software to focus on virtual reality headsets. Duke Nukem Forever finally came out in 2011 after 3d realms battled with feature creep, management issues, and eventual selling of the ip to Gearbox. It was bland even if you don't count the years and money dumped on it. Also, the economy took a shit. Seriously rethink your racking up of student debt because you wanted to better your money-making opportunities. Also, stay away from Jean. She will rip your heart out, breath fire on it, and scatter the ashes like one blows on a white dandelion flower. -Sincerely, your 2014 self.
