The Witcher games have been near the top of my to-play list for a while now, so this is perfect for me. Got all 3 for less than $20. That ought to keep me busy for a loooong time.

And how much it would cost the businesses to run their own ordering web site, do their advertising, and hire drivers for delivery?

Bring back SKATE, please. I played the hell out of those games. And unlike a lot of other sports games I didn't feel like a lazy slob for not going out and playing for real, since there's no way I'd be brave/stupid enough to try most of those tricks in real life.

Outlook for the web has been around for over 20 years now, and even 20 years ago it had more features than gmail currently has. I'd love to be able to go back to Outlook, but my company is all-in on gmail.

I'll third Roku. They're cheap, fast, easy, and fairly powerful. Even the medium level sticks will do 4K UHD. I've got them connected to every TV in the house now. I also have a Shield, but the Roku gets used 95% of the time since it's faster to get to the apps.

Okay, I've got it figured out. It always starts in threaded view, so I have to hit one of the flat view buttons first. I thought the threaded button was a toggle, but turns out it only works one way to take you from flat view to threaded view.

I much prefer the old flat view style. Is there a way to set that to default? I didn't see anything obvious in my account settings.

The comment section looks broken to me today. Every comment is its own thread that I have to click on to view. I noticed yesterday that I could switch between separate comments vs. seeing all comments by clicking the icon next to "View", but today that button does nothing for me. I tried it in both Chrome and Firefox, but get the same behavior.

I find it interesting that despite how well we can fake video footage now, we are still in the infancy level of doing the same with audio dialogue

I suffered through the first episode of Tiger King. I found it mostly a depressing story about trash humans I don't care about, and have no interest in. I think the reality TV comparison is apt.

Why do you people keep propagating this lie?

The game will run on just about everything, including an Oculus Quest which is $399 retail. And if you have a PC, Samsung Odyssey Pluses have been on sale for under $250. The bigger issue right now is that all the headsets are out-of-stock.

How does the "Game of the Year" not win in any other category? It doesn't have the best design, or best art, or best story, but somehow is still better than everything else that came out?

Seeing as they didn't put it in the headline, the app in question is Clean Master.

Why is it silly? You said "nothing ever changes" based on who is in the White House. I gave you an example of how something has changed based on who is in the White House. Are you disagreeing with the basic fact that Trump has changed the budget for the CDC, or that the CDC has any effect on disease control?

I could give you hundreds of examples of why this is wrong, but here's one to get you started. Every year since being in office Trump has been cutting the budget for the CDC. Because of Trump, the country is now worse equipped to deal with a large-scale virus outbreak. It's highly unlikely a democrat in the White House would have done that.

So, you think someone could approximately predict the creation date of music they don't know?

Absolutely. Along with certain musical styles, chord progressions, or instrumentation, there are some production techiniques that are closely tied to the technology of the time. For example, early digital reverbs had a certain low-fi quality. People still use digital reverbs today, but they're much higher quality. Synths went from analog to FM to sample-based and each has their own sound.

There are a bunch of other things that factor in as well. Individually each one might be enough, but taken together, someone that knows what to listen for can nail the time period of a record pretty well.

Reminds me of people critiquing the saber fights in the Star Wars prequels. Like there exists any expert in the world with experience not only wielding a sword that can hurt you if it merely brushes you, but also fighting as and against someone who can see the future and read minds.
