Just look at the first story in the list (22 hottest PC games) - at a glance, I'd guess 20 of the 22 are being developed with Xbox as the lead sku, and PC will just get a port.

Porsche Unleashed was my favorite in the NFS series. What I liked about it was racing on open roads with civilian traffic. In the demo, there is one closed circuit track, with no civilian traffic, and one long open road, with no civilian traffic. I thought the closed circuit race was really weak, and the open road speed trap race was pretty good (but wish there were cars to dodge).

It isn't 1 crash = death unless your crash is super bad. 170mph into a wall = death. 100mph into tree = lose your hood. I think that is fairly balanced.

I've been playing Forza 2 on Xbox 360, and though it is pure sim, I think it is much much more fun. Without the things that made NFS unique (chases, police, traffic), I don't think it stands up well to the other driving games out or coming out soon. Demo may not be representative of the breadth of final game, so we'll see.

It must have been the 1.5 gigs of RAM because I have basically the same setup except 2 gigs of RAM and got a key.

Any download alternatives to fileplanet? Don;t want to wait 45 min.

I'm a hardcore mouse & keyboard guy, but I can see where some sort of one handed gamepad with analog control for movement would be better than the keyboard. That said, it would be a marginal improvement compared to the analog stick vs mouse for aiming. The other issue would be you need a lot of buttons available on that pad to make up for no keyboard.

Even if the Silicon Knights' complaint is valid, kinda silly to sue now. What kind of support are they going to get in finishing their game now? Suck it up and finish first, and if you really truly feel the need to sue, do it later.

I was recently looking for a replacment for my intellimouse exporer, and decided to grab a Logitech MX 400. Problems started from the beginning. It was recognized as an MX310 when I plugged it in after installing the logitech software. Then it would periodically freeze, and lastly the setpoint software sucked, especially the scolling. I exchanged for a Razor Deathadder which I love so far.

I was goingt to say the same thing - it is so generic it could be describing fantasy, sci-fi, historical drama or whatever they eventually decide to do.

I didn't like the dungeon siege games, but it was an impressive game engine. Sci-Fi setting in that engine with a good story could be really cool. Space Siege is a bad name though - makes you think: swap stone texture for aluminum texture, new box, more money. But reading the description it sounds like a legit game.

it's probably more like: is the user playing DRM authorized music than is this user using an aimbot.

I'm not sure PC gaming is dying, but two proofs that I'd offer to that side are the PC game section of Best Buy, and the PC game section at EB. Now maybe online is making up for it, but hard to know since those sales numbers aren't public.

i[Try going to Central or South America, Southeast Asia, Ukraine and bordering countries. Those women are sexy and know how to party! So uninhibited, no issues with looking or acting sexy, and these are not prostitutes. Takes a few days to get used to it, but go for it, you only live twice! ]

Sorry, those were all hookers.

I can't believe the overwrought reponses to this... Well, actually I can! Subscription may or may not end up being good, but the fact that you have a choice is already a positive that puts it ahead of most MMOs. You can just buy the game, play it, then see if you want to subscribe. If they can justify it with what they are offering, then pay, if not then don't and move onto the next game when ya get bored. I currently plan to buy the game, and not subscribe. I welcome them to try and convince me, and holding back good stuff for peopel who pay isn't going to do it.

i[Hurray, another CoD game where you only play as the inherently, "good side," destroying all things "evil." How about they get really creative and do something different for a change. I'm really getting tired of this one-sided crap as it wouldn't take much to focus on more than one side of a conflict.]

I hate it when they portray nazi's as evil, and don't realize that both side had their point of view in WWII.

Viet Cong was a great FPS - worth picking up if you can find it in the bargain bin. They had the first attempts at a 'cover' system, which I think was going in a better direection than what was done in Gears of War of Rainbow 6 Vegas.

I tried the demo, and it clearly is the product of a small team. Great concept, but a little rough around the edges. I think it is worth $20, just don't expect AAA production values.

Beamer, I agree with you; Fredom Force was a big bust. That said, even the faint hope that someone will being back X-Com in a good way is enough to get me excited. There could be much much worse devs to take it on. Atari could have kept the license!

You have to admit, you were being pretty optimistic pre-ordering TF2. Did ever evenhave a release date? They were never even at the point of showing gameplay (at list publicly), just a scripted E3 video.
