The autopatcher DOES NOT work, it never has worked during the beta and still doesn't. S&S have pushed CCP to launch EVE, but the game is far from ready, there's only a small amount of the actual game content implemented so far.
To #10, read what Nexus just said, he's correct.
The press release said they would lift the NDA in a week or so time, as yet the EVE beta is STILL under NDA.
