Still my #2 of all time, only surpassed by the original Half-Life 1. It was for me at least, he first FPS to really incorporate the RPG elements. Great game if you never played it.

Has Broussard slit his wrists yet? I can't imagine being the joke of the Internet, spending millions on development, then having your game taken away from you, rushed through a "get-it-out-the-door-asap" development cycle by another studio and finally succumb to poor reviews. That's gotta sting.

What an asshole. It's not our job as gamers to fix YOUR problems. Our job is to pay for and play your games. If we don't like what you do for DRM, then it's YOUR job to fix it, not turn around and say "Fine, you fix it."

I see this as a real problem with Valve. They have a great concept, and then they refine it too much. The game comes out polished alright, but with a tacky sheen and luster that borders on the bland, rather than being as dynamic as it could have been.
