Mouse force selection would suck, guys.

Think about it...is's over 2000ms of selection time compared to a worst case 500ms on a key bind. Looks cool in theory, but in practice it would stink.

Example: how many times did you get capped in Splinter Cell because of the weapon slection system? Multiply that by a factor of 5 or so (Splinter Cell isn't nearly as fast and furious as JK/Quake/UnReal), and you'll start to see what I mean.

You'd toss that away in multiplayer combat faster than a retreating Republican Guard Brigade.

You're better off with keypad/mouse button bindings.

Or, better yet, get a Belkin Nostromo n50 and save your hand some walking

I'd bet my new Radeon AIW 9700 Pro that they will rock-paper-scisors styles and stances.

believe it or not, I *would* like to see some of the uber-moves de-nerfed (Like backswing-- gawd, not only was it anchored, but the damage was castrated). BUT all special moves should have counters. As I mentioned in the other Thread, red DFA-ers can be pushed away or thwacked on the back when their saber is hilt-deep in the dirt, and you can ROLL under a Yellow DFA (Butterfly), and have no damage. People that get hit with a blue lunge, well, they're just slow...

Kicking is OK as-is. People that b***h about it obviously haven't learned the defensive tricks you can use on pull-kick spammers.

These are the ones I just get too tired of hearing...

Learn to roll, fool...the collision boxes don't even touch each other if you duck and roll under a Yellow DFA.

"Red DFA sucks! 1-hit Kill!"

Two options: (1) roll out of the way, and slap him on the back when his saber is hilt-deep in the ground, or (2) Forch push him while he is in the air...

"OMG, I CANT BEAT THIS RED STYLE WHORE!!!!"

Wait for them to swing, then slap their ass with a yellow L-R sweep. Most players (but not all) suck at chaining Red, so you're usually OK. And even if they chain, you have a 250-500ms delay between slashes to get a guaranteed hit in on them (defense is off when they are in an attack stance).

"You F**king B***h Pull-Kicker!!!" (LOL: I hear this one ALLOT!)

4 basic defenses/counters--(1)Push them when they pull. (2)Run backwards from a known pull kicker-- when they try to pull-kick you, pull-kick them! 2nd kicker wins. Always. (3) Roll sideways. (4) absorb (not that effective, though).

"Push/Pull Whore!!"
Umm...get absorb.

Think Martial arts...every move has a counter in this game...it's just not always easy...

If you didn't play the game for 15 minutes and drop it, then no, I wasn't talking about you, so leave me alone.

I just hate people that come on, and bi**h about a basically great game that they never put any real time into learning, figuring 15 minutes (or playing less than 1% of the game) gives them the right to go off and rail a game at a creative and gameplay level.

Like I said, those of us that stuck with online play love it, but do recognize that there are some flaws. It looks like they are addressing those in JK3.

And yes, I do rock at this game, so I am biased

LOL! Kenn, baby, you ROCK, so don’t listen to these whiners that probably played the game for 15 minutes and quit.

Some of us have stuck with it, play Saber-only, and LOVE it. For the longest time, people believed Red stance was unbeatable, but those of us that have stuck with it have learned how to hack around any style-whore <grin>.

Cant wait for the new version—two-handed and dualblades will be cool! I can’t wait to see Raven’s take on them (Some of us used them In JediMod, but they were way unbalanced). As long as everything is rock-paper-scissor to some extent, it should be a blast! I hope that the class-thing woirks into Multiplayer as well…that will be a cool twist.

Be sure to include more CTF maps this time, though...

And yes, the BLADE STAFF STILL ROCKS MY WORLD! LOL!

PS: Tell Rick I said he rocks too, and I’m still up for that SOF2 challenge he gave me!
