I don't like the sound of items being based on where you bought the game, unless the exclusivity is only temporary.

Zombie clowns seems amusing, but considering that I haven't touched the first game in forever, I don't think I'll have a hard time waiting for a sale on this one.

I've never bought from gamersgate. Does it give you a steam code? I really want to get Civ IV complete at that price.

I have played through at least 5 boss encounters so far. NONE of them were annoying, the way the classic Nintendo boss fights are.

Figuring out what to do is fairly easy, and doesn't require any supreme coordination.

The Scarecrow encounters are particularly interesting; they are not actually boss fights, they play out like side-scrolling stealth sections mixed with some combat.

I'm glad that the PC version is looking like a great port. I've been playing it on 360 and it's one of the best games I've played in a long time.

I'm very interested to read full reviews of this game. I think it looks more for me than ArmA 2, and has a better chance of a stable code base. And the indoor stuff in this video looked good, I hope the final mix is a nice spread of indoor / outdoor encounters.

And Just Cause 2 looks like a must-play. Crazy action.

This certainly falls heavily on the action side of the action-role-playing genre. The RPG aspects are character development and loot, but I don't know of anything beyond that.

I guess it's appropriate that Cobain looks dead in that video. Although he still has a head.

I was semi-interested in this game, but by the time it comes out, OpFlash 2 will be out. Hell, maybe even Angel Falls will be out.

Based on what I've seen, I'd be surprised if I played this and didn't like it. I plan on getting it at or near launch. Of course a demo would help seal the deal, but in this case it's not necessary for me.

Apparently it's coming to the 360 as well, and I really can't see that one. There were times when I was clicking like a mad man (vase breaker) and at least personally, I could never manage that with a controller.

Have they got it to the point where you can auto-download new content right from the game? That might get me playing again... I can't really be bothered to go download maps that may or may not ever get played online.

News Comments > PC Modern Warfare 2 $60? [Updated]
34. Re: PC Modern Warfare 2 $60? Aug 18, 2009, 11:55 Veinman

Activision makes themselves out to be the greediest of the greedy, every time they open their mouths. Not that it matters much to me since I have no interest in Call of Duty.

I do however have interest in Diablo III, and I am bracing myself to see how badly they at least TRY to fuck it up.

I can't remember if I paid $55 or $60 for Doom 3, but I still remember the feeling of getting ripped off.

Bug issues aside... from what I've read, isn't ARMA II so vast that it hardly needs an expansion?

Well all they are doing in my case is giving me one less reason to purchase it. I had never heard of hamachi until this thread.

I'm not saying I'd ever play this on the lan, but I really don't get it.... supporting lan play has to be several magnitudes easier than internet play, and if their network code is properly coded should practically be as simple as adding an option in the menu.

Just what do they think they are achieving here?

Only 32 players on PC? This seems like a major strike against the game. Maybe it's not a hard limit.
