That miniature trailer was neat and all, but I think we are ready for the game already, let a lone a trailer showing how they made the miniature trailer. Sheesh.

I would take C&C Tiberian Sun as the oldest C&C game I would go remastered. Ideally, give me RED ALERT 2!!!!! Aaaaaah!!!

That was probably the most fun I had in an RTS game in my early days.

Why bother if your going to force everyone to still launch Origin to play the game. Its so fucking pointless for them to do this.

Just to get in on those diehard, must be Steam or nothing fans. Sure, it launches Origin, but it was bought out of the Steam store, rofl.

While I prefer everything under my Steam library, I can see why they would do this. It just expands their library of offerings to others that would not otherwise see it unless they used Origin. Any kind of money is better than zero kind of money.

Graphics look old as f**k, lol. For a game that is supposed to have never ending rainfall however I expect some decent rain effects. Yuck, lol.

I think Jurassic Park Evolution has some of the best rain effects I've seen in a builder type game.

Game ran and looked glorious on my 1070ti. With that said however, combat is not there yet. Shooting works but as basic as you could imagine. Melee combat is rough. Looking forward to those improvements.

Shit, I need to pick up the pace on finishing Witcher 3.

I gave up on this. Everytime I came back to finish it, I'd get sidetracked yet again by the other content. I just can't leave that ? alone. I _HAVE_ to see what it is. Oh, it's a mob that several levels higher and will take me 30 minutes to kill? Let's do this. Suddenly I'm burned out again.

I've finished the game at least three times, expansions included (the last time, I think I finally got the best outcome), and every time I try to avoid the side activities, I just get sucked into them. Best game ever made.

I finished my second complete playthrough probably 2 months ago it's been now? Took me a long time but I was more thorough on this playthrough than my first time around. I wanted to explore every bit I could which I think I ultimately did outside of all the little treasure drops of Skellige within the waters.

Honestly, with my second playthrough, it solidified my thoughts that it is the greatest game I ever played. I started gaming on NES and worked my way forward... I've played the Zeldas, Final Fantasys (well as many as I did, not all).

Nothing really compared with the experience. With that, I also feel I think I had the best ending on my 2nd playthrough which is crazy because I think there are 5 or 6? It was a relief because I heard the ending I got on my first play through is considered the worst of all, lol.

I know it was early in the game. I made it a bit further than that but that fight sticks in my memory (was a while ago). But you're right, I gave up too soon.

Haha, you remind me when I had pirated it at launch (I know I know). I just heard all the hype but didn't now enough about the series to drop 60 bucks on it. It looked beautiful from the screenshots so I wanted to see what it was all about. I remember the opening fight with the ghouls actually following the conversation with Vesemir. Game set the graphic mood immediately. Despite that, something about it I couldn't get into right away. I like ended as soon as I reached the first tavern and talked to some dudes there. Uninstalled and deleted my pirated copy.

Move along a couple years and Steam is having a sale on everything for real cheap. I was like, ah what the hell, let me give it 1 more shot and actually own it. By owning it, it would give me more incentive to play it longer than I initially did. I think as soon as I reached the Baron story I was completely sold. From there everything was history in my books.

I only wish maybe I bought it at full price to support the devs on launch but I truly didn't know what I was getting into then. Since then I bought ThroneBreaker, Witcher 1 and 2, will 100% pick up Cyberpunk. CDPR made me a life long fan.

Already I am missing Geralt again...;)

This was pretty much my feeling after beating W3 the first time. I took me from like May to Nov. to complete it and the expansions my first time. Playing around 1-2 hours a day or so with some days off obviously. I was in no rush and don't got that much gaming time these days.

I just finished my second completion and was literally milking it for as long as I could because I didn't want it to end. It's like every time I would fire it up, it was a new medieval/fantasy soap opera/drama I was going to be apart of. Every story with a twist and the writing so rich. Seriously, the writing is what makes it.

I'm currently playing Assassin's Creed Odyssey and can see the W3 inspirations it has including dialogue selecting and the way the characters faces are portrayed during conversation. The similarities end when you see the bad acting and very mediocre dialogue. It's a shame because the graphics are phenomenal and the voices sound of high quality and taken seriously.

I tried the Witcher 1 but it was too rough for me to even attempt to get the story out of it. The combat was so janky and non-responsive to my keys. Not sure if that was normal but it felt difficult to play. Enough for me to pass.

Witcher 2 is better but also rough around the edges with combat. It's also way more linear than 3 but that was expected. Actually, the graphics were highly impressive considering how long ago it came out now. I think a lot more people can definitely get into that one than part 1, even nowadays.

3 is still considered the GOAT game of my lifetime.

Looks good but four hours is awful damn short.

Honestly I'm perfectly fine with that if it is a memorable experience. Well that and the price is right.

I could probably beat What Remains of Edith Finch in 1 hour at this point but will call it the greatest hour of gaming you can have.

No wonder I didn't get my Steam notification of it being available today despite being on my Wishlist for months if not a year. That sucks. If anything EGS has become such an annoyance more than anything else.

Rather than buy exclusively, how about just offer it at a cheaper price at launch or something? Let people have OPTIONS! I hate being forced and will not abide by it.

If all the remakes and remasters hasn't shown you creativity is dying, I don't know what else can.

Personally, I'm not into these massive online shooters that everyone can jump into because Free 2 Play, but then the cool stuff is locked behind a pay wall or lengthy grind.

I'm old school in that I rather give you 40-50 bucks and get 100% of the product given to me (if the game is worth that much to begin with).

To me the games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and anything battle royalish was a step in a direction away from what I'm into as a gamer. I know there are plenty who enjoy them (clearly), but I'm not part of that crowd. I hope good ole fashion storytelling doesn't die in gaming. That's what I grew up on and still prefer it today.

Mafia 1 definitely holds a special place in my heart when it came out. Was like playing a family drama crime movie. Done really well. Not sure how it holds up nowadays but I wouldn't mind replaying it remastered. Sucks because I do own the original disc still but never got it in my Steam library. Hate to pay full price for it.

Mafia 2 not as excited to get back to as I never got too far in it to begin with. Surprisingly I don't own it on Steam. Not sure how I came to play it because I don't got it on disc either...

Mafia 3 I uninstalled not too long ago and didn't get too far either. Just didn't hold my attention at all. No real interest to try it again but I will say it looked great so I'm not sure what else they could do to enhance it much more graphically.

Steam without competition is obviously more ruthless when it comes to pulling in all potential $$$. WIth Epic out there and trying to be the good guys (for now), it shows how simple an action such as giving back someone a refund due to a sale is. Since Steam are the kind that hope you do not realize a game goes on sale and hope you do not ask for that difference refunded.

Steam is going to have to step it up on the very minuscule solutions because that is where Epic is going to win a lot over.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm also one that is done with all those seasonal sale events that they put out. I think they put too much effort in to those and ultimately their goal is to drive you to buy more to earn more useless coins/tokens, whatever. The best they ever did was you could earn tokens to earn a discount on your next purchase. I fell for that in where I ended up spending more than I wanted to just to continue collecting the discount code.

Otherwise, most of their events give you useless rewards.

I enjoyed the heck out of the original Stronghold. I feel like every game after it went down the toilet. Especially when they dipped into 3D graphics. The graphics were pretty bad when compared to other RTS games out at the time.

This one doesn't look as bad... Surprisingly I think I enjoyed the economic side of the game more than the combat. The music was quite relaxing as you build your fort. The combat on the other hand was a bit too hectic and nutty. Remember those arrow volleys? lol.
