Ubisoft Shanghai did the entire single for the PC version of Pandora Tomorrow. Mercs vs Spies multiplayer for both PT and CT was developed by Ubisoft Annecy. Thank God that Ubisoft Shanghai had nothing to do with the third installment (at least, on PC)!

I'm sure they changed the name of PoP3 from Two Princes to Two Thrones...
Actually, it was Kindred Blades. And it was much cooler than Two Thrones because now there are dozens of ways to make fun of the new subtitle for game reviewers.

I liked the fact you actually had to work for stuff
Oh, I'm sure there will be plenty of grindwork cut out for you in both Vanguard and Marvel MMORPG...

There is, interestingly, no Russian word used to express the words "the," "a," "an," "is," and "are"
I don't want to sound too anal, but "is" and "are" do have an equivalent in Russian - the verb "yavlyats'ja" in Present tense. Although they are quite formal, therefore rarely used in everyday life.

And yes, Akella is a name of a old wolfpack leader in Kipling's The Jungle Book. The Russian translation of the book turned Akela into Akella, so, hence the double "L".

All right, Revolution, I think I can take that "ultimate sacrifice" staple of yours, but, for the love of God, don't make dozens of ABSOLUTELY IDENTICAL crate puzzles and that moronic "stealth element"!

Wargaming.net made two of the best 3D turn-based strategy titles I've seen as of late. Massive Assault and Domination combine great eye-candy, intelligent AI, nice missions and great multiplayer. AFAIK, Akella is only a publisher on this one; all design-related decisions are in the hands of Wargaming.net

To be honest, I'm not sure where he is now.
In Hollywood, he's busy producing multiple movies, including The Punisher (ew!) and the recently released Lord of War with Nicholas Cage.

I don't understand how you can fund development for years and then pull the plug so near the end, forfeiting any sales revenue.
AFAIK, Midway took this project on board only in Feb '05.
The whole year before R&F has been funded by SSS itself.

I thought it worked beautifully on the PC
Yeah, the only problem was that the developers didn't know how to use 3D, so they made us move crates. A LOT.

Two Worlds will be the most stunning RPG ever made with graphical possibilities that today’s graphic cards can not even deliver to its fullest potential.

I really hope they won't use the engine from the old Two Worlds, because it sure looks hideous now:

If this person is right, it being "a few bugs from finishing"

Strangely enough, a member of the dev team posted on the R&GH Forum that as of last Monday, the game had 1800 open bugs. Not an excellent shape by any means. But hey, what do I know, it's Midway, these guys aren't exactly known for their flawless products.

Well, there's still Supreme Commander and I think the guys that did Silent Storm are working on another title.
If by another title from the makers of S2 you mean Night Watch, then I've got to disappoint you - it's a RPG with little tactics in it. Hammer & Sickle, which, according to GameStop, is due on 12/5 in the U.S., is also an RPG.

Say goodbye to Redneck Rampage 3 done on the Doom 3 engine.
And I would say "Good riddance". RR is all about open environments. Doom 3 is all about narrow, dark-as-a-black-hole corridors.

And, by the way, Redneck Rampage is now owned by Vivendi Universal Games, not Activision.

Those forests kinda scare me, though.
Actually, forests should be the least scary thing in Oblivion, since SpeedTree that powers them is a very fast technology. Download ST interactive demo from their website and see for yourself how easy it is to grow virtual forests even on GF 5900/Radeon 9800.

You sound as if here were no interviews, screenshots, trailers, showings at both E3 2005 and QuakeCon. Yeah, right, totally no hype around Quake 4.

and they really nailed the Quake2 environment -- the colors alone were spot on and took me back to the day.
Yep. But I think they shouldn't have done so. These brownish hues make me think I'm in a planet-sized public toilet. Oh, and that "let's throw some enemies at the player and then some more" idea fossilized about 5 years ago.

...we got it - you're making a PC shooter. In Stockholm. And the publisher is, unsurprisingly, EA. Now please tell us something really interesting about it, not how it is expected to generate royalty incomes.

God, I hope this isn't Battlefield 3 or something similar...

Look at www.battle.net now (don't forget to press Ctrl+A).
I think I'm speaking for everyone here by saying "What the...?!"

UPDATE. Hmm, "orly" is the Russian word for "eagles", and an eagle is indeed on that ASCII picture. Nevertheless - huh?

UPDATE #2. OK, now there's two eagles. Someone is having fun.

A nice way to sell a shitty game.
