Seeing as how melted plastic cannot support bacterial life... it's therefor not melted plastic, is it? Seriously, could you come up with a more hair-brained comment? How about I melt some ACTUAL plastic, put it on some nachos and make you eat it, dumbass. You will very quickly discover (the hard way) just how ignorant you are about what foods are made of. You're all like, "Ah yeah, that stuff is like plastic, cuz I eat real melted plastic all the fucking time and I know exactly what melted plastic tastes like." Shut the fuck up.

Ugh, that article was way too long winded to read the entire thing, but I got the gist. Polygon has it in for Valve because someone at Polygon got butthurt over something personal. Whoopty fucking doo. I have over 220 games in my Steam library, which is small compared to a lot of gamers I know, so what exactly is it they want me (and other Steam users) to do? Abandon them for some other service? Go to Hell, Polygon, unless you're going to pay me the original purchase price for each and every game. Ultimately, I personally don't see the problem because I'm able to buy games through Steam, I get to play them, and I'm satisfied with that arrangement.

Okay, so, Valve has some issues to work out behind the scenes, and some people aren't happy about it... fine, whatever. So long as it doesn't stop me from buying new games or accessing/playing the games I have, I don't really care.

Just for the record, years ago, before Steam was a thing, I protested the idea of going to digital delivery for games when the gaming press first started reporting on the concept because I hated the idea of NOT having my own personal copy of a game on physical media, like a CD or DVD, nor did it sound like a good idea to allow the digital provider total control over access to my games. But hey, everyone was like, "No man, digital delivery is the future!" Hmmm... looks like I was right after all.

"ShamWow guy in jail". - I thought this was a story about the guy on TV being arrested and jailed for something, not a parody. Way to mislead.

Uh no they don't. The controversy is already there. He said he was going to do one thing and he's doing another. Point in fact, he keeps constantly moving the goalposts in order to string people along and raise more money when all he was supposed to do was release a new Wing Commander style game...several years ago at that. And after all this time and money he has very little to show for it. That's akin to a Ponzi scheme. Promise people the moon, keep stringing them along, keep asking for money. If that isn't controversial I don't know what the
fuck is. Stop rationalizing your fanboyism.

You have any proof of that? You're just stating your opinion that when you see them make a change in development of Star Citizen, you assume it's to "string people along". Without a recording of a boardroom discussion, or private company emails that detail such a deliberate strategy, you may as well say that about EVERY company that ever existed because that's just how businesses operate on a daily basis, moron. Plans change. Goals are raised. So fucking what? Are you saying that they're not allowed to change their minds about their own product? What CONTRACT did you fucking sign with them that restricts them to providing only the product that you THINK you should receive? You, a bug on the windshield of life. Just because you THINK you know why they make changes, doesn't make it a fact, and your accusations of illegal activity without any actual evidence, is borderlining on slander.

That's actually depressing to think there are that many people who subject themselves to the same old mindless pew-pew with a graphical face lift.

I have a second computer that is separate from my gaming rig that is set up for torrents, porn surfing, and any other "risky" internet activity. It uses a pre-configured Win 7 image, so if it ever gets infected with anything, I can restore the image and be back up and running in 30 minutes. But, if MS is going this route, maybe it's time to think about rebuilding with a Linux distro instead...

CJ can hate the game all he wants. It's not anyone else's fault that he sets his expectations too high, and the vast majority of positive reviews from both players and critics speak for themselves. I'd buy the game right now but I've already got over a dozen games that I'm trying to complete so I just don't have the time for another one.

Cool feature, I suppose, but as unnecessarily toxic as the ETS and ATS community is over on Steam, I don't really think they deserve such efforts from SCS.

I hope tons of people buy, and then refund on steam, and totally screw up their metrics for sales after this.

Are you hoping they refund it just to mess up their metrics, or because they actually don't like the game? What happens if it's actually fun and they don't want to refund it? Hey, it could happen. Maybe.

23. Re: Arkane: Steam Refunds = PC Prey Demo May 3, 2017, 13:14 Porn-O-Matic

I've only refunded one game on Steam because it didn't have any way to change mouse sensitivity nor change the FOV and the devs had no intentions of adding either one. (Nope, not even through a config or ini file.) I've stopped pre-ordering games (though I have no issue with anyone who pre-orders, it's their money, not mine) and instead have just fallen back to the age-old solution of waiting for proper reviews and Let's Play videos on Youtube before making an informed purchase decision. Sure, I could "demo" it for 2 hours, but really, 2 hours in almost any new game goes by quicker than you think.

Bummer... an Alien: Isolation sequel would have been cool, but if the original team members aren't there to work on it, I'd rather not leave that to chance with other people who may not put the same amount of effort into it.

Hopkins has dementia because he likes Michael Bay? You're all a bunch of pretentious cocksuckers. None of you have even the slightest notion of how to make a decent film compared to Michael Bay, because if you did, you'd be making them instead of pretending like you have a higher sense of entertainment than anyone else. Fucking please. Get down off your High Horse of Snobbery, get your head out of your prissy little ass, and go fuck yourselves.

"Enhanced performance". Pfft. Whatever. I've had it since public beta 4 or 5, and even in it's release state, you still need a $10,000 mega computer to get anywhere near 40 fps.

Heh... double the bandwidth on DDR5, eh? Why? Nothing uses the bandwidth that DDR4 provides as it is. That's like building a 300 lane highway for a town that has a total of 10 cars in it. It's just a gimmick to get you go buy new memory.

"Verizon mandates pre-installed spyware for all its Android customers"

Suckage. I don't mind that they want to see how I'm using their service, I mean, they own it, so they should be allowed to see what I'm doing on it, BUT, I don't like that they are allowed to sell that information to others.

And for the record, I didn't vote republican.

Let's see now, I've decided that I don't identify with my age, so instead I will identify with all ages, which means everyone should be 100% accepting of me hanging out in school playgrounds.

You see where this bullshit is going, right? Pedophiles are next in line for "acceptance". Believe it. Look between your fucking legs... that is WHAT YOU ARE. Pretending not to be in your head is a mental illness, period.
