You can get Steam to work in linux I think but it's a pain in the ass, I haven't tried it and you might need cedega/heavy wine editing to get it to work but it has been done.

Best news all week Bethseda is pretty damn good at RPGs I'm gonna keep my eye on this while blazing through FO2 again

I don't see why adblock is needed I haven't had a pop up in firefox since they added the build in pop-up blockerunless adblock blocks all ads...but I don't mind them at all

They probably canceled it becasue Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War is being made faster and higher quality so they don't need to sink more money into a product that is going nowhere.
and yet console games is where they got their start 
The mod scene is starting to get very interesting after a long slump becasue everyone wanted to make Counter-Strike knock offs...and a million dollars is on the line

Yea I've been practicing up in T2 for vengence, I hope I get into the closed beta it would be sooo nice.

Alien Swarm is still the funnest mod I have played.
I tried Air Buccaneers which is unique but too slow for me.

Actually it imported all of my bookmarks, cookies, passwords, etc. when it installed which was very nice. Even though I backed up my bookmarks anyhow 
Are you all up to date on IE and your security allows ActiveX? If your security level doesn't allow ActiveX you can't sign up.

Link for the SP demo. It was a lot more fun in SP.
In MP you just keep paying points to have units spawned in and it becomes a "lets get a ton of tanks and artillery and kill the other team til they have no more AP."

If you don't use IE you cannot use the blizzard system checking utility.
It uses IE's method of program installing to install Blizzards system checker. Much like every spyware company out there uses it to fool unknowing users...it makes me feel uneasy to install that way.
IMO this is very bad to enforce the usage of that horrible browser, but I used it for 30 seconds to sign up so that was worth it.

It's not much different from the beta, the slim GUI is much better, the new map is pretty fun too.
I'll wait for reviews before making a final decision even though i enjoyed the SP demo quite a bit.

It is very cool so far...playing online we have yet to win a game.
Beware the shotgun! It can level your whole team by sccidentally firing it in their direction..not that I would have found that out the hard way or anything
