Very boring, the whole thing made you feel detached from the enviroment, the game had no flow at all. I'll just some up the graphics by saying they are ugly. There is little feedback whether or not your weapons are doing anything, the "uberweapon" made a few little dismal sparks on the ground when I fired it at close range, otherwise you see no effect from the fire. The weapons are WAY too accurate, I was able to pretty much snipe with the HWguy.
The AI is just dumb, it reminded me of the 007 Night Fire demo, if I sniped somebody his buddies would not react. Their behavior doesn't seem to vary much from running at you guns-a-blazing. They don't make use of cover at all, I came across a barricade where some of the dopes had been placed behind, they actually ran out of their well defended position and proceeded to run straight towards me. Your friendly AI isn't too bad, but they get stuck on objects and will occasionally start shooting walls. The only real problem I had with them is they love to charge at the enemy no matter what they are facing, really annoying with the turrets, but its easily solved by just telling them to hang back.
The enemy spawning really is a drawback, basically what you have here is a big, ugly, sparse island that appears to be a ghost town until you move down a path and then some enemies spawn 20ft in front of you.
I can't really understand why this was released. I'm going to geuss the devs were pressured into releasing this, I'm really doubting they wanted this to be our first taste of breed. Hard to say how the game will turn out since this is more of a beta than a demo, still needs a lot of work.
