Am I missing something? Zombo.com didn't really do anything, except make promises that I can do anything with Zombo com. Don't get me wrong, the one page is funny, but is there something more that isn't loading?

For a moment there I thought Blue was yelling at us!
Heh, could be worse, I thought some kid hacked the server and posted his own OotB. Or is it oOTb?

I didn't look at the source, but I'm guessing that it is seeking the floppy drive because whoever made the site included an image that was just on the floppy disk in his/her computer at the time. The site doesn't exactly look professional, what with the dancing Santas and all.

(edit) Yep, there's a link to an image on the a: drive. There are also a number of images hosted on other servers. And the title is misspelled (which Blue also used, nice catch Blue!). I may have to go and make me a proper INTERNATIONAL CAPS LOCK DAY site.

So one in fifty Americans are morbidly obese? That frightens me. Not that I know how to solve the problem, I'm thin by design (high metabolism) so I can't really offer any unrequested advice. But I suppose the bigger movie theater seats are nice, even if I have to sit between morbidly obese people.

edit: stupid tpyos.

Wow, two OotB links going to google... from two sources no less!

Obesity: The article said one in five people are now moderately obese. This is just getting ridiculous! They don't specify how fat you have to be to be called morbidly obese, though.

Future U.S. President Tom Hanks is planning on sending killer robots back in time to change this bit of history.
Actually, you're thinking of Otm Shank, star of Indian stage! (Simpsons reference, sorry)

This is the first thread in which I've seen Halsy post anything, and I can't say I'm impressed. Entertained, yes, but not impressed. Halsy, have you ever won a debate? Your approach is just all over the place, what with the "why are you even bothering to respond to me, you are too stupid to understand my words" tactic. Why are you posting if we couldn't possibly understand your infinite knowledge? I mean, if that were actually true, you'd know better than to waste your time spouting off this nonsense because we'd never be convinced and we'd never understand.

At least with Fredster, he knows that he's a troll. I'm nearly starting to consider missing that guy.

Can anyone recommend a good ripper, preferably a free one?
I also vote for CDex with lame. Under linux, if you can get grip to work then use that, but my system seems to have trouble with my two CD drives (I think there's some error in my fstab and a wrong symlink or two in /dev, but I have been too lazy to fix it lately). I think my problem came from too much tinkering, not enough paying-attention-to-readmes-and-howto's.

Now don't take this as flaming, but here are the reasons why I wouldn't buy an SUV:
1. Cost. I like 35+mpg, and a lower price tag.
2. Top-heavy. I used to drive a conversion van, and these things are just not as stable as a lower-riding car.
3. Keeping-up-with-the-jonses mentality. There seems to be a feeling that an SUV is a mark of accomplishment for the 'burbs. I don't care what the neighbors think of me.
4. Danger! Aside from the debatable safety risks for those driving them, consider that SUV's make it difficult for other drivers to see around you, and the higher headlights are tough to drive towards. Also, you're far more likely to kill somebody in an accident if you drive an SUV. I don't want to have that sort of thing on my conscience.
5. No point. I don't need an SUV for sport or utility.

And I'm not saying anybody out there who drives one is an idiot, I'm just pointing out some things to consider. Not everybody needs an SUV, and the money you save on not buying one can be used for other stuff.

And I quote:
Prosecutor Jerry Wilson says he isn't abusing the law, which defines chemical weapons of mass destruction as "any substance that is designed or has the capability to cause death or serious injury" and contains toxic chemicals.
This is frighteningly generic. Wouldn't bleach fall into this category? Cigarrettes? Rat poison? Batteries? Gasoline?

If this prosecutor is accurately describing the law, there are far too many legitimate substances that have the capability to cause death or serious injury, and also contain chemicals. The government isn't going to arrect everybody who is involved with the manufacture of these items, but who's to say they wouldn't use it as an excuse to catch somebody they don't like? (yeah, I guess it sounds a bit like a conspiracy theory, but the system apparently allows it. Fill up your gas tank, and you're transporting WoMD)

I don't have my hands on the source code, but it looks like there's a variable in the perl script that is not getting set, making the edits not go through. Either it's a quick-fix to not allow edits (due to somebody abusing the system, perhaps?) or there was a change made to the edit script and one variable that was supposed to get set doesn't get set anymore. The "board.pl" script seems to be treating the "submit edit" button the same as the "edit" button. Just my guess as to why we can't edit...

I just saw Bowling for Columbine yesterday - well most of it, the dvd player stopped working. I need to watch it a few more times, that movie is powerful. But the movie, while it does spend some time focusing on Columbine, also has a lot to do with gun violence all over the place, including Minnesota (and the milita). Watch it. Twice, maybe three times.

Go to the bottom of the "Ray Guns" page and check out the statistics (and watch out for the popups). Despite being in a foreign language, it's funy to see how much of a spike in traffic the guy got today - he was getting just a few hits per day - around 50-100, but closer to 300 the past two days. Today, he's at 5200 and still counting. I gotta get my site linked on Bluesnews! Or Slashdot.

I have a friend who lives right near a park in Queens and he's seen the ice cream guy take a half-hour break right in front of his house, with the "Mr. Softee" jingle playing the whole time! Being a born-and-raised New Yorker, he had no problem screaming at the guy for being such an idiot.

Personally, I can't think of how the song goes now, but I can definitely hear the GTA:Vice City jingle. "do, da dee, da do, da do, da do, da dee, da do!"

edit: Now the Mr. Softee song is stuck in my head.

Does this guy expect to retire off this auction? It's not like the domain names are very good, anyway. And I wonder what the domain name scene will even look like in seven years. If some idiot buys these domains, he/she may be quite disappointed when some sort of revolutionary new system comes out in 2007 that completely blows away domain names.
