Can anyone tell me if the pilot/copilot made it out of the crash?

Judging by the airspeed, RoD and the angle looked pretty deadly.

Probably a rookie pilot for the Royal Canadian Air Force; bird hit the left inlet of the turbofan in his Hawk -50 or 60 which in turn killed the engine.

Why the aircraft pitched upward right after the bird hit is odd, I would understand a small movement but that much for such a long period is surly due to pilot error/ inexperience. It may seem minor but that movement scrubbed about 80kts of ground speed. Had they had they extra speed during the standard rate turn they went into while they attempted to “spool up” the engines via a compressed air starter they may have lived.

Even through their negativity people unconsciously admit that this game will still be prosperous many months and years from now.

It’s been a while since I played FlatOut but there is a patch of sorts that adds a bit of realism. It takes away the traction control that is ever so irritating. I don’t have a link but, it’s almost guaranteed to take away at least 80% of the frustrations.

I perceive these redesigns as a move in the wrong direction. I think NASA is forgetting why they abandoned the traditional rocket platform to begin with. What’s the viable future of rockets?

For lifting cargo for maximum payload a rocket cannot be beat, and it’s always been that way. I genuinely think that aerospace needs a spacecraft that can travel under its own volition, whether it is just re-entry, like the shuttle or both take-off and re-entry.

These redesigns are proposing we separate cargo from the astronauts, (sounds expensive) that opens up a lot of new endeavors (a thank you) NASA can take. With the recent X-Prize you would think NASA would be looking in that general direction for a craft to transport human cargo into orbit. Basically, a rocket for cargo is fine, but a rocket for astronauts is counter productive in the long run.

More importantly how will civil aviation progress if the correlation between spacecraft and aircraft is shattered?

D&D has always been about personal interaction and role playing, this kind of destroys that.

As long as they still look the same on the outside, I see not how this will effect the Apple buyer.

That’s the dilemma though. Technology is expensive and Pc gamers are perpetually trying to thumb there noses at it. PC component manufactures are struggling to provide consumers with cheap tech, because that’s what people buy.

You want better tech, throw some money around, or jump ship because you’re only weighing it down.
Proverbial ‘you’ btw.

BTW, In that same post you mention of mine. I talk about individuals like you.

visit any of the PS2 forums and find a thread about this game

First of all I would rather have my digits lopped of then visit a PS2 forum. Secondly, you’re telling me all I would have to do is find one thread about this game and then I would see how highly praised it is by all of the English speaking countries? Do you know how ignorant that sounds? I’m sure I could find a thread on how great the French Army too. Please.

praised it is in english-speaking countries

Let me correct that statement of yours. You meant to say ‘Praised in PS2 internet chat rooms and message boards by people infatuated with all things Japanese.’

A lot of non-English (as their first language) speaking people live in English-speaking countries. Wait, there is more, they buy video games too. I know that may be hard for you to grasp, but try.

Americans are enjoying it so much

Americans, that’s a lot of people.

Think about this with your squirrel brain, perhaps the most popular Japanese game to get critical exclaim world wide is katamari demacy ( a game that’s apparently cool to like) and since you decided to single out North Americans, How may households even own that game? No less Makai Kindom.

Makai Kingdom for example is an NIS game, the 3rd "spiritual successor" in the Disgaea line.

That’s hilarious. Did you come up with that? Or did you read that on one of the forums?

Score another one for being oblivious.

A perfect example of some of the many Japanese designed and developed niche games for the ps2. It would be no surprise if 2/3 of the inhabitants of Japan bought 2 copies of each.

I hope the stick with the same general BF2 formula; fun. On the other hand Special Forces is inherently different from the regular 'battlefield warfare' experience. Special Forces usually have objectives other then shoot the enemy and it should be interesting to see how they implement them.

Ii would be nice if they stressed teamwork even more in this expansion, perhaps make joining a squad mandatory.

And how about a option in which a team is allowed 1 or 2 minutes before each round so they are able to converse by way of headset or keyboard about what their strategies are so when the game begins every one isn’t running towards the middle of the map looking for something to kill.

I agree if I was a hooligan I would sport my respective team ring tone, but in the environment I work in anything but the standard electric-synth ring would get disagreeable gazes.

I suppose when the article states 'analog' they mean 'component analog'. Fortunately the tele I’ve got has HDMI input, but I think there are adapters for HDMI to DV-I and vise versa so anyone with good ‘ole DV-I won’t be left out in the dark.

There is a link in an article that Blue linked to about HDV, it looks promising.

... because both formats, so debated since the beginning of 2004, may find themselves outrun by the Holographic Versatile Disc (HVD).
While Blu-Ray and HD-DVD use the same laser, other producers thought of combining the two lasers (red and blue), in a single ray and thanks to Optware , on a disc the size of a CD or DVD, 1 TB of data could be stored (20 times more than on a Blu-Ray disc), with a transfer rate of 1 Gbit/s.

Much obliged for the input Enahs. I’m going to go scour the internet for hours and windup buying the first one I saw, per usual.
