How about Microsoft Windows Games Update®? If a game is programmed to run on Windows OS then it should also be programed to work with its Game Update service. I would just be a service that would be built into windows that allow developers to install a set of intructions to tell where the Microsoft Game Update® service it should go look for updates, patches, content mods, blah, etc. The Microsoft Games Update® would allow you to toggle what information you would like to send out to the game developer.
Microsoft Windows Games Update® coming to a Longhorn near you.

Never been impressed by any of the star wars; particularly the recent films. I always viewed the “evil” Empire as the more just rule, and the rebels as selfish twits.

Glad the movies are done with. Move right along, you huddled masses.

You persecute me and call me clichéd names because I don’t share your view that CS:S is the best game ever, and every other FPS is bad because it may pinch players from your beloved CS? You are a Bolshevik.

Trolling? That’s really laughable. The point I made was valid.

The snide remark about your belief that nobody plays FarCry MP is in fact trolling.

We don't need a whole fucking content's worth of game for a fricking graphics overall. I mean, old bitches get a face lift for $40,000 and it looks good. But by the time they get it, I don't wanna fuck them anyway.

Same thing.

I take it you didn't/don't play CS:s and can't stand it. That’s exactly what Valve did and got droves of tumbling tumbling dickweeds to buy and play that.

The first installment was and still maintains to be the secret vice of many non Americans. I just checked the Americans Army website and it lists 5,254,879 registered users. There have been over 10,000 new players in the last 10 days and there are currently over 20,000 active servers today, all for a game that is in its 5th year of existence. It’s nice to see a game with backing; The United States Army is a stalwart lover for sure. How many times have you handed over 35 quid for a title and its developers have moved on to whatever it is they move on to, and your still waiting for a ‘will this make it not crash patch’?
If the United States Army really wants to tick people off they implement a system in which only United States citizens can register and play. After all, who’s to fault a company for going after its target demographic?

The problem for the consumer is 64-bit and all it entails is an expensive proposition. For the layman 64-bit is new, different and it’s yet to fully mature. For people that require more from their pc then web browsing and word-processing the only logical upgrade will be a 64 bit if they plan on using it 3 years down the road.

Now if you eve question the clout our dear Microsoft wait until about a month before the release of Longhorn, those duel cores will fly and so will your disposable income.

Nice to see a game supporting 64-bit and giving its users some incentive for adopting an inevitable standard. I anticipate to see a must have high profile game that requires 64-bit. The quicker you scoffers accept this tech the better we will all be.

Was great to see Family Guy back last night. American Dad was lame.

How you can feel one is great and one is ‘lame’ without being ludicrously fickle?

Obviously they look the same; they share almost the exact same formula. Both have the implausibly brainless family members, the only semi-sane characters being non human dog & alien hominoids. Add the eccentric character with the campy European accent in this case the baby & fish and it equates to two cartoons that are equally lame.

Only variation is the type mocking that takes place.
