it has fixed the issue. I used to not be able to play in surround b/c the sound would cut out completely. I can play w/it on now. (I'm not sure if this is b/c of the update that also came with RoE addon, but I guess it could be).

ummm...searched activision.com and can't find that stupid patch they refer to in step 2...anyone find it?
