I'll retract my previous statement. I, of all people, shouldn't be the grammar police considering that some of my reviews probably would make Webster's fall over and die again if he was not already dead.

2) Because poor grammar bothers me too - - esp. cap errors!

Or spelling sarcasm wrong (as was done in the original post about his petition) Good game!

That's a pretty good rendering of Blue.. I mean Gordon..

There's another one from his pre-vegen days.

No no. It went like this.

Gates: Dang my wife really wants that island. What was it called?

Accountant: Hawaii, sir?

Gates: That's it! The one with all the beach. Let me look in my wallet. Dang, I only have a couple billion there. Go sell something of the company's so I can afford that Christmas present. Or go picks Jobs wallet again. Whatever works.

I will admit to not being the biggest fan of console gaming. My few attempts at trying a shooter on a console were horrific due to the low quality of the graphics and the controls.

But, consoles are quite a bit of fun for one particular type of game to me: American football.

I hope they don't shift over to selling PC games via a "push" content system or buy and download type thing. That sort of system works fine for smaller programs (antivirus, for example) but bigger things like games just present too many problems, IMO.

Sphinx, keep your flux capacitor in your pants...Blue's just trying to mod his G-diffuser to accept incoming delta patterns on the mainline.

I try but then I see a Beyonce video and then things hit 88mph and some serious **** starts happening. My god look at her writher around. No wonder Jay-Z is laughing and smiling all the time.

I'm trying to think back to the last time I flashed the BIOS on machines at work. Oh yeah, I think it was for Y2k and those machines are gone now.

Excellent investment Blue. I've had my 9700Pro for about a year now and it's the best piece of hardware I've ever purchased. RtCW and ET clocking 100+ FPS (in some indoor areas) even on my Athlon XP 1600+

What a great article. It's getting to be new-PC time for me and I was going to go for 2 GB of RAM. This article persuaded me to save my money and stick to 1 GB.

Absolutely right. Terrifc read. Dual-Channel DDR-400 1GB from Crucial is going into my next machine.

Earthworm,
No you couldn't jump. I don't think that worked until Quake.

As for the motion sickness ... Probably a combination of lower resolution graphics on (I'm assuming) a much bigger monitor so things don't flow so well.

That or we're all just getting old.

yeah, i personally had a blast playing co-op terrorist hunt. i played that more than anything. it's weird, i bought the game and not once did i play it singleplayer. not much of a mission planner myself and using the ready made plans just seemed to defeat the purpose

"Accidentally" shooting my friends with the M-249 is a regular occurrence.

I never played Single Player either.. boooooooooring.

I mean, will you still find some nice servers to play on or did cheaters ruin it?

Well, the game does support Punkbuster now so that should help curb the cheating problem. Provided you connect to a server that has Punkbuster enabled of course.

WTF is wrong with people? Putting a gun to someone's head over a counter-strike tournament that he didn't even participate in? That guy needs to be locked up for a long time at the very least.

What's worse is that drivel like this will be splashed across the screen of CNN on their live show and their website yet something like what Penny Arcade is trying to do will go largely unnoticed.

Depends, is your ATI actually working and supporting games now?

Radeon 9700 Pro. Never a problem here.

Is a 5% increase in frame rates *really* that important? "Ohh look.. I'm not getting 60fps now, I'm getting 63! I'm so el-three-three-seven!"
