This sort of reminds me of Enron, Robbin Williams joked about how they took your money and ran.

With Flagship it's more like "We take your money and sink like Titanic, but not before sneaking off to one of the lifeboats filled with teh money!".

Gez, I must be getting older!

Anyway, saw the gameplay video, looks bad ass. Can't wait to let Blizzard use their games to drain life force from my body.

If they actually cared about their game, they would have fixed BF2, had anti-cheating systems in place from the start, and release patches frequently, until it was good enough to be called a RETAIL product!

What makes them think people want to go back to ancient times, when the present time game was such a huge hit?

They could make it fast and easy:

Make cow level with updates graphics, people would play that until the world ends.

Bought the game yesterday, very fun.

It holds so much potential, only played a few hours, so I'm sure it'll open up more.

Now I just hope the EU-retail isn't uberlaggy like the demo was. Really looking forward to see what the modding community drags out of the bag.

How can they sell this crap? It brings nothing new to the already crowded crappy FPS table. Ohh so you can have a hovering tank, big deal.

For the marvel MMO to be a success, you can't have people waiting for months before they become lets say Wolverine.

I expect Marvel MMO to let me be whatever superhero I want to be from the get go. Sure I can be slightly less powerfull in the beginning, but it sort of defeats the whole superhero concept if you get beat up by 4-5 thugs as Silver Surfer.

It isn't very hard to make this work, they have all they need. Just make a game that brings the cartoons to life. Have you protect civilians, stop bank robbers (other evil superheroes for example). Big stuff, not just running around beating up thousands of thugs before you get a CAPE...

How do you play a game with no levels? Skill based gaming. Your character gets better at whatever you do.

Lets use Hulk as an example, he gets better and better at his superjumping as he uses it. How long it takes to max out his skill, would vary depending on how complicated the skill was.

UO had it, and Darkfall will have it as many others. Level based gameplay is too restrictive and old fashioned.

Indeed. For example hiding your superhero identity from the public and such things adds to the experience.

For example, scientific experiments and whatever to do for characters choosing to go with a hero, or villain, that has that background.

Like already have all they need to make this work, just remake everything in the comic books into a computer game. That means no levels!

Soo... Are they making WoW as marvel then? Or CoH as marvel?

They HAVE to make this fucking revolutionary, no levels, freedom to choose from all powers and characters. Not some restricted shit where you have to play years and years to open up the characters full potentional.

And for the love of god have pvp, marvel is all about pvp. You should be able to choose from "evil" and "good" characters and battle it out. And not in some stupid arena, but epic battles on typical marvel fighting ground.

Also, make sure you can smash shit and throw cars etc.
