I'm pissed. First I get really messed up artifacts with the ATI 5.6 drivers (or whatever number is the newest). Like for example this handy censorship bug as I'd like to call it, when I was to use the second fire mode, aim with ironsight for example there is a huge black square over 80% of my screen, I can't see anything useful, but I can see icons and such through it. Then there were lots of weird menu graphical bugs.

So I decide to take EAs advice and downgrade to 5.1, then what happens? THE GAME CRASHES ALL THE TIME! And not just those nice crashes which boots you back to your desktop, no.. these mean bluescreen, weird sounds in your speakers type crashes.

What else is there to whine about? Oh yeah, the ingame server browser is hell, freezes up a lot. The keymapping must have been made by a non playing PR guy, but what really made me mad was that there is no 1280*1024 in the graphics menu, which means the graphics gets all messed up since I have a 17" LCD which native resolution is 1280*1024. So I had to crawl on my knees through all forums until I found the solution:

C:\Games\bf2demo\BF2.exe +menu 1 +fullscreen 1 +szx 1280 +szy 1024

Now to vent my anger, I will go steal someone's car in GTA San Andreas and drive it into the river.

Once I got the demo last night (which took forever) I loaded it up and went straight for a multiplayer server. Man it sucked ass, I got killed from places I couldn't see, people were camp killing, the controls were fucked, had to remap basically all keys and tweak the controls. NO third person while on foot sucked too, now I don't know if people can see me or not. So when I went to bed last night I wasn't really convinced.

Anyways, I decided to load up a singleplayer today, and I played for a good hour or so. This game is awesome, the teamplay I saw was just unbelievable, the graphics are great and it runs fine on my computer (x800, 3400+, 1gb ram) but it stutters a little when I respawn, and online it has this weird lag I can't explain, must be something wrong with the netcode or something.

But all in all, this game is great, thank god it's weekend and I have nothing planned.

Thank god for the newsgroups, thanks for posting whoever is doing that (too excited to remember any nicks now, sorry). Doubt I'll download it tonight, almost midnight here now. But tomorrow morning, lots of server will be up and I got the ENTIRE day for nothing but BF2 fun.

The only thing that can happen, or probably will happen since I'm looking so much forward to this game is:

A. I get computer problems, something happens and the computer won't work.

B. The internet gets deleted and demo is gone.

C. More likely is that the demo has compatibility issues with my AMD/ATI setup and won't run, or gives piss poor performance.

The game looks awesome, too bad those two guys playing were such noobs and couldn't really show us something really really really cool stuff. This game keeps getting better and better every time I see a screenshot or video, the tanks look BIG and have lots of stuff on them making it seem more real than the small models in DC. I'm looking more forward to this game than any other game _ever_ I think.

I thought it was clear from the day the game was announced that the original cast was doing the voice? Anyways, this game is probably going to become a big hit because of it's "unique" play and 4 player coop =)

This game will kick ass, I love the tv show and being able to play the game will be a dream come true. And with coop too! Too good to be true.

Who cares about these awards anyways? You can always spot the crappy games with the help of these awards, the game that advertises the most that it has some sort of reward will be utter crap.

The online community for this game sucks, barely people online playing and I'm guessing that won't change anytime soon. If you want to play coop online, get a friend to buy this game too and then you'll be sure to get someone to play with.

Since everyone keep talking about GW, I'll have to start the ball on Deadwood.

What an amazing show this is, I'm blown away each new episode. The story, acting, costumes.. everything is simply superb. I don't want to say anything about the current story so I don't spoil anything, but it's been getting pretty dramatic lately. Even my girlfriend, who only watches shows like 'Home & Away', 'Gilmore Girls' and 'Days of our lives', started watching it when seeing the first episode of season 2.

It's too bad it's only two more episodes left, but I guess it's a good thing they keep the seasons this short, so we don't get 'The O.C' effect where it's basically either a music videos or Star Wars advertisement every minute.

The BF42 demo got out about a month before the game shipped, so if they're doing it this way again, we'll have the full game out at the end of july.

The demo was absolutely horrible, haven't uninstalled a game as fast as I uninstalled this one all year.

But after seeing it, I can say it's NOTHING like the trailer, the special effects even look better in the trailer, the movie sucks, it's very boring. It had tons of potentional, but it just got too boring. I must note that I don't understand russian and had to watch the movies with subtitles, that might have had an impact on the final verdict.

Demon comes out of his hell dimension and bumps into a human. The human looks at the demon and says:
"You look ugly, what are you?"
The demon smiles and says "Hell-o, my name is demon 5, I will be giving you booze, sex and anything unchristian".

Then suddenly a big white cloud appears overhead, and an angel floats down to the ground beside the demon and human. The angel says "Heaven-o good human, I will not allow you to do all those things, here is a bible go spread the word and you shall get into heaven, which is like SO much better than the stinkhole hell is."

The End.

So what did we learn from this? Well we learned that heaven will use bibles to win, and there is nothing hell can use to defeat that power with.

We also learned how demons and such from hell greet each other, they say "Hello". While angels and other creatures from heaven will say "Heaveno". (Based on a true story, some christian nuts stopped saying hello because it has hell in it).

If this is as fun as Quake 2 was back in the day, just with better graphics, I will worship whoever is doing this like a god.
