Can a Mac really handle this game? If I load a big city, this game stutters on my Athlon 2400 with a GeForce4. I'd think it would run like molasses on a sub-Ghz Macintosh. I5Works has got their work cut out for them

I think the reason the ice caps are melting is from all those GeForce FX cards that Nvidia has been testing.

I also see parallels between 3dfx's last cards and this new one from Nvidia. Remember the Voodoo5 6000, with no less than four processors! That thing would take up half a computer case. It was just too impractical for most people. That's probably the main reason it never hit the market.

Something tells me a lot of people will bypass the GeForce FX only because of it's rediculous size, weight and heat.

Geezus!! That is just freakin stupid! A computer should not make that much noise. I just finished going through my whole rig, changing out fans to try and cut the noise a little. Can't sleep when it's on (freakin AthlonXPs). Now Nvidia wants me to put the equivalent of a 747 in there?? No way!

The last company to come out with an unweildy card like this was 3dfx, with their dual chip and quad chip cards. It's called a desperation move.

I was never a big ATI fan... really dig those totally stable Nvidia drivers... but I'm starting to wonder. Maybe I'll sit out another generation or two and enjoy my 4400.
