I honestly thought for a moment that this was actually a real Iron Man athletic challenge for festively overweight WoW players (run 26.2 miles, bike 112 miles, swim 2.4 miles). Now that I would love to watch!

bad list

I too was very taken aback by a list of 11 geekiest musical artists and not seeing Devo as #1 on that list.

I hope the retailers go out of business anyway, as long as download-for-pay content is on a service on par with Steam I really do not need the retailers and would not miss them.

Because the people responsible for the mess had already jumped ship, escaped the repercussions, and the ignorant populists demand blood, even if that means stripping away the "bonuses", which are effectively salaries as their base salary is near $0, for the remaining people that have had nothing to do with the misdeeds of their predecessors.

There was massive incompetence and destructive greed at AIG and that can not be disputed, but the reckless demand for "justice" is not accomplishing anything.

I had some serious issues with brainwashing, murder, and extortion all under the guise of taxpayer-subsidized, tax-free income but Diskeeper a try and its all good.

Don't worry they're only increasing rates for "heavy Internet users", and I'm pretty sure there are no fat people on the internet so we should be safe.

I boycotted EA years ago but around a year ago when Riccitiello starting being so openly candid and honest about all the things that made me boycott them in the first place, it went a long way towards restoring my respect.

Ultimately though the words will need to be backed by quality games. Time will tell.

Also, Nintendo has maxed out its production capacity. Every Wii manufactured will sell immediately, so this is possibly just a function of Nintendo's inadequete production capacity.

$100 extra cost for only $20 more gigabytes? They are adding more than just that, right? I don't understand why anyone would pay $100 for 20 gigs.

Do they want to get into all the times when Wedbush was way wrong with its projections? Financial analysts and investment bankers do not know shit about videogames.

I'll admit the forums are not really anything to boast over, about 90% of it has turned to garbage in the past 2 years, but the games subforum is incredibly useful and full of competitive players who generally are helpful to anyone who is a SA forum member that wants to become very good at at a game.

As a whole, SA is long past its prime but the individuals that make the Games forum useful do an excellent job.

What has always been highly entertaining about SA is the amount of hate people have for it that are not members.

Wow, intelligent, rational Wii debate here. I agree with most of the sentiment here but I think the Wii could become a sleeping giant. It will lie dormant with so-so games but some extraordinary games that really take advantage of the input device will hopefully come along and demand all the attention.

Either that, or it will just chug along with so-so games and so-so graphics. I hope it is the former, and I suspect Nintendo developed games will make it happen.

If a survey concludes that the most trusted brand is Sony, that is primae facie evidence that the survey is fundamentally flawed.

Having entirely ruined video games, EA makes its move to ruin music as well.

Completely not true.

This is entirely different than last gen. Its not the hardcore fans that are buying the Wii. Go talk to anyone around your area. Whole families are getting or wanting to get one who never even owned a console bofore. The control scheme and family oriented play are bringing in people by the truckload.

I've seen people of every single conceivable demographic express a huge interest in the Wii, and this includes many people I know who never cared about videogames before. So what you say has been very true in my experience.
