dead space port was fine, turn off vsync...

If ever two statements contradicted one another...

I'm sorry that being a rich slave-owning Monty Burns of a PC gamer entitles me to exemption from seizure-inducing screen tearing. When a game like Dead Space comes along where 50% of the game takes place in pitch black rooms with flashing lights it's a big fucking issue.

The port is absolutely fine. for some reason when you enable vsync in-game it puts a framerate cap of 30, feels very jerky. Turn it off in game but force it in the control panel and vsync works great.

Can the game industry please enact some statute of limitations on the whole "when it's done" thing? This is beyond ridiculous.

...the CNet overloads have created the ultimate soul-crushing work environment."

I think you mean CNet overLORDS don't you? CNet overloads, doesn't make much sense.

Way to step up MS - count me impressed. It took a mountain load of negative press about the issue to get them to do so, but still.

I think you're right. It definiately looks like a crossover title. Especially since each game's respective website has the same apocolyptic sound bite playing in the background. I'm sure Red Storm would not do this if they weren't connected in any way. Sounds like a great idea.

But if it takes place 20 years in the future, won't Sam Fisher be like 65-70 years old? Seems a tad old to be going on a political thrill ride. But hey, if the geriatric Indiana Jones can go on another adventure, I guess Sam can too.

Lets not forget Doom3, Todd. That game was crap to begin with and deserved to be pirated.

Here's a bummer - In addition to the JKII sequel announcement - Activision said:

DOOM III will not be released until fiscal year 2004.
