Had fun a couple of days ago. Some kid was trash mouthing Doom3. I listened for a while as he went on about this and that. I then stood up, walked over and asked the young man what kind of computer he had. He looked at me, just a bit concerned. "Well, Sir, I have a P3 550 with 256megs of Pc133 ram and gforce3 card." I looked at him, told him my configuration. His eyes got real big. I said, perhaps his experience with the game was cause he had a pretty old computer and it just wasnt up to the task. Youngster looked at me and told me to "eat shit". I laughed and walked over to the adult that was shopping and apparently was with him and asked them if telling a person to "eat shit" was a proper thing to do. Found out it was his dad... well, dad was kicking his butt all the way out of the store.
Too funny... A question comes to me is all these people dumping on this game. I wonder how many have a machine that just isnt up to the task of Doom3 and thats why they dislike it. Cause it shows what a POS they have for a machine?

My question is.. if Valve systems can be broken into.. means their software/hardware solutions suck. Which COULD mean if it is transfered to other programs lets say HL2. IF the source was stolen, then the kiddies can look and say.. oh we can do this this this and take over the entire show. Then wouldnt it be logical that steam sooner or later will be hacked and everyone connected to it be open to attack?

you notice that in both far cry and red faction theres some guy leading you the way? Matter of fact think its the same voice in both characters.. thought that was pretty strange.

Okay just did the patch... game crashes left and right now. Had zero problems before.. sooooo watch out.. it may break your game.

remember there was another game that was done like this one version for consoles another for the pc and the pc version sucked bad.... got a feeling the same thing is going to happen here. Hope not, I still play GR on a daily basis. But, it doesnt look good. Including that 3d person stuff... dont know will have to wait and see.

and I just did an hr with Pain Killer and wow... it reminds me of a old artist more now.. just cant remember his name. Im very pleased with the new drivers and new dx9. Of course this could all change tomorrow.. but right now.. I like.
