ok well my thoughts and what I know to be true apparently differ from most people on this board but I'm sure we all had different upbringings/cultures/continents.

I wasn't trolling I honestly was sickened by WW2 FPSs especially the Medal of Honor advert. As for a quick example of what I was talking about...

Re: No subject Mar 1, 13:27 aguita

And I'm tired of being the Allies. Let me be part of the german army trying to take on the allies! Then again, I'm so sick of WW2 shooters that I'm never gonna look at this.

Did you know the Germans used to throw babies out of upstairs windows so they're friends on the ground could shoot them in mid air for target practise?

Maybe you'd like that as little action bit whilst the main loading is going on.

This arsehole sums up why WW2 should NEVER be made into a game - it wasn't a fucking game for the millions who lived it. Just because America was never in danger from Germany and didn't join the war for years certainly does not give them the right to make out as if they:

A: Single handedly fought and won the war
B: Make films regarding actual events in the war but changing the characters to american
C: Make fucking stupid comments like the arsehole at #5
D: Turn it into a "game" for teenangers.

ohhhh announcement to game in just 7 days. Strangely that will equal 1% on review scores for every day it was in development ending with a grand total of 7%.

Heres hoping they release a demo on a quiet day so we can bitch about it properly.

EXACTLY. That's what I was alluding to. At least with Die Hard I could say, ya it's far fetched, but it could possibly happen. You then actually give a crap about what's happening, and more importantly the characters, in addition to watching some cool action.

Fair point - bad boys really did only work in terms of the set action pieces, as a plot you could write it in about 2 pages.

But Die Hard "far fetched" - are you forgetting the "I'm a New York cop in LA who has no shoes on because I'm making fist with my toes when the robbers decide to hold everyone hostage so they can crack a safe" thing.

Happened to me last Tuesday.

That's funny. I just watched that horrible movie on the weekend. Gone are the days when action movies actually had some grounding in reality.

When was that???? Predator? Die Hard? Terminator?

is this a console game waiting to happen. I was loving the style but to be honest apart from the texturing I didn't think the game was that hot.

The was no light fog misting over the ground which is so cliched that it actual seems missing. Furthermore the torches don't flicker meaning the dimly lit, flickering corridors meant to give atmosphere looked like halogin lit office hallsways (with shit up them).

The weapons are too slow paced to be a Sam clone and the atmosphere missing to enable it to be the creepy blast it shows it has the potential to be.

All in all it seems to be a nicely textured console game; small levels - although connected, slow pace to accomodate joypads controls and graphics more pretty then techinically adept. Oh and if you took the gore out even Nintendo would pass it.

ohhhhhhhhhhhh what a big surprise!

Jesus who would have guessed it would have so many problems.

It just seems so unlikely that this would only be "tolerable". I mean honestly what is next - a bad Army Men game?????

Si

So what do you think - 6,900,000 for the license and the "stars" to do the voice overs for the game. 100,000 for the game - it will consist of mainly sand after all !

Nope this is the DX (directors cut) not only do you get a port of a 4.5 year old dreamcast game (which still has some GREAT moments).

You also get 20 ports of game gear games. One slight problem if you have a half way decent pc you can run the main game in obscene resolutions but that means the game gear ports run in a window roughly the size of a matchbox.

Um is it just me or was there no mention from Derek Smart(??) that it was gold a week ago?

That means they have released the beta which they had in December after all the shit a week ago

That man REALLY knows how to piss off publishers. Maybe he could get work as Simon Cowell's PR man - he seems to like being hated by everyone
