(a) a kid who can reel off the spec of his PC right down to the speed of his memory would already know his computer wasn't up to D3.
-> Not necessarily. Just because someone knows what they have, doesn't mean they know what they need.
(b) a kid who tells you to "eat shit" doesn't have a father who cares. His dad would most likely kick your ass for trying to have a conversation with him.
-> Again, I've been to plenty of lans (and public places in general) where 'kids' feel they have to act that way to fit in (or stick out), when otherwise they would never say such a thing. And often, if their parents knew they said such a thing, those kids would never be allowed to speak again. Just because the kid acts rotten, doesn't mean he/she is. Just because the kid is rotten, doesn't mean the parents are.
(c) you're just dumping on a kid who's opinion you didn't agree with. Who's right in that scenario? It's like Teddy said, turn the mirror on yourself.
-> People aren't open to enlightment. Never have been, never will be. You just have to roll with it and accept that there are people who's opinions you will disagree with and that they may not even acknowledge that your opinion exists.
(d) if you were sitting down in a store does that mean you were behind a cash register?
-> He may have been in a furniture store or a restaurant (they are stores too.)
