Just saw this tidbit about bitcoin:Five hundredths of a percent of bitcoin investors control over 40% of all bitcoin, and just under half a percent of all bitcoin investors control over 5/6ths, or 83%, of bitcoin.Take away the estimated 2.7-3.7 million bitcoin which is thought to be "lost" and there isn't much left. If accurate, that would seem to be a major issue for a "non-centralized" currency...

Under-display webcams SUCK. We have a friends with laptops like this and on discord/zoom meetings we spend the entire time looking up their noses. It’s a terrible angle.

Sean Connery is dead, and so is Bond, imo. I loved Casino Royale with Craig as Bond. I think it's the best Bond film ever made. I thought that all of Craig's Bonds since that one have waxed measurably worse, however. It's too bad, but all things must pass.
If you really want to laugh so hard that you lose your lunch, try giving the first "Casino Royale" with David Niven a half hour of your life. I don't think you can watch much more of it than that...;) It really, really stinks--and that is nowhere near the criticism it deserves. As a "parody" it's so bad--more of a parody of Green Acres, imo. But if "Oh, dahling...how are you, dahling?" is your cup of tea, and you liked Za-Za Gabor in Green Acres--then you will probably like David Niven's "Casino Royale"...;)

Thank goodness the first Bond Novel, Casino Royale, was nothing like this movie--or we may never have heard of James Bond!

Everyone here is a cultist. You just don’t grasp the concept of ideology. You push it every day on this board. Supporting free-speech is now far-right. I don’t see Gab working hard to silence anyone. Cheers.
Funny how the people who yell loudest about free speech don't actually understand how the right to free speech works.

Twitter should be taken down immediately it has far more vile content, threats, pornography and even occasionally pedo stuff.
Apply your supposed rules evenly.

Twitter is a sewer, comparatively. AMZN is dead wrong about this. The country is getting very tired of stupid censors waging war against freedom of speech. Let them all move to China if they want to surrender their rights so badly. The Chinese will be happy to take theirs away.

US democracy did just fine for a few hundred years before socially irresponsible media.
You can chart the decline of political discourse and the rise of wack job violence with the rise of social irresponsible media. As they are now, allowing any and all speech that would be illegal or never published by any press, or other medial outlet, they are a cancer. Nothing good has come from socially irresponsible media, except stupid cat pictures and inane 'here is what I am eating drivel.'
This mass moron infestation will continue to be a serious threat to civilization until 230 is revoked and social media platforms fall under the same rules as other media.
Well said. The cancel culture promotes ignorance and stupidity, imo. They enjoy banning speech they lack the ability to debate. They would have fit right into the old Soviet Union, the USSR. Hopefully they will share its fate.

Where does it say it is a Shooter though? Is that assumption only based on Machine Games Studio pedigree?
When I think "Indiana Jones" as a game, certainly "shooter" doesn't even come to mind. I would imagine either Action Adventure Cinematic /w Occasional Shooty/Whip elements (like Uncharted-style games) or a classic Point-Click Style Mystery/Puzzle game (which would be amazing if it were VR, exploring ancient lost places to recover artifacts).

It's a good thing we have places like bluesnews where we can make sure our opinions are correct.
With this post, you're one step away from calling us sheeple.
I would take a step towards over the past decade Blues has basically turned into an echo chamber itself where I can hardly read the comments anymore without dying a little inside; so toxic. When I do go in I already know what to expect, and my expectations have yet to be unmet.
I remember the days when the disagreements had to do with the actual gaming industry (PS vs Xbox, Nintendo vs Sega, nVidia vs AMD) where both sides could have an opinion and still be able talk to one another with some semblance of respect. Those days are sadly gone, or maybe it's just pure Mandela Effect and wishful thinking. I do know what we have now is a bunch of anonymously tough-talking keyboard warriors with a megaphone wearing earplugs. Though, I'm sure a lot of you all are probably pretty nice in person, too bad we don't get to see that side of you.
Blues was my escape from all the other crap in the world. Do we really need Twitter and FB news here? "If it bleeds, it leads", I guess. Shoot, comment totals alone tell you all you need to know.

Like most things coming a certain group, this hasn't been thought through. So you want to be able to say anything on Twitter but you also want to repeal the protections for the corporations from being sued when people say whatever they want? Forget Nanny State, we live in a Toddler State.
You want freedom of speech but when I run my own company I am forced to keep quiet when you say things I disagree with on my property? Sounds like the opposite of freedom of speech and free market to me, but what do I know, I only thought it about it for more than 30 seconds.

Social media needs to be classified and regulated as a public utility. Social media should only restrict speech that posses imminent threat, not hate. You're allowed to speak out against something you aren't happy about, the left had 4 years calling everyone on the right stupid white national Nazis which is hate speech.
With everything the left has done to the right, I only see further escalation. And yes, the right has their faults too but there is significantly more blame on the left for our current situation.

Yes, when you create something predominantly for illegal purposes, or you fail to put in good faith efforts to curb illegal usage, this is what happens.
By Who's opinion that this happened with the platform in question? Yours? Or Your Side of Politics? You really think 3 tech companies should have that kind of power??? Wow!
And you all think the Right wing is fascist?
Extremism on either side is fascist, and the double standards are dangerous.

Ok. Who was banned for things that aren't TOS violations?
A whole platform was silenced by 3 tech companies. Not Individuals that were violating TOS.
This is the same as if Twitter was hosted on Amazon, and the apps hosted on Apple and Android were completely and suddenly removed because Twitter wasn't fast enough at getting the small percentage (compared to the entire platform) of illegal content (death threats, etc.) removed.

In my opinion it's far more alarming to allow that sort of thing to proliferate unchecked. That's what got us to this point.
Suppression of speech is something that alarms me regardless of who is being suppressed. Just because it is legal doesn't necessarily mean it's a good thing.
If that was the only thing being suppressed I'd be bothered less. I also think you're being a bit disingenuous in suggesting that is the only thing that got us to where we are. We have massive problems beyond incitement of violence and hate speech.
