I was really dissapointed in the length of the single player portion of the first game, of course there will be an expansion pack.

Seems to me the game club isn't new. I was stuck in one about eight years ago that I seems to recall was Columbia House. All I can remeber is that while the games were on sale at Egghead, for 29.99 I was still paying 49.99 trying to fulfill my obligation.

I have some real mixed feelings about the cell shading. It does look cool, but I don't know if an entire game would be fun looking like a cartoon.

It's been so long, I've lost intrest. I remember when Harpoon 1 came out it was 2 or 3 diskettes. The game was so buggy it was unplaybale. 360 actually mailed you new disks to your house with a pre-paid envelope to return your originals in. Pre-Internet, that was good service!

I was wondering what happened to this one. I thought it looked cool, but it dropped off the radar sometime ago.

The full extent of mod support won't be known until closer to the games final release but rest assured that both groups are working to make sure that Halo fans have the ability to create their own unique maps and gameplay experiences.

The game is supposed to be released in less the three months and the full extent of mod support isn't known? Short of Co-Op play mod support might save this one.

I think a Halo Co-Op patch might save this one, without it I think sales will be low. Co-Op was the best thing about the X-Box version.

Is mcsterls a new troll or just a not-so-literate and/or bright poster here?

Wowbagger,

Thanks for your kind words. I'll assume by your confidence that you are the yardstick by which others should be judged in the forums? There really is no need for the hyphens in not-so-literate, although and/or would be correct.

Segway scooters rentals May 26, 2003, 15:07

A few weeks ago their was a link here to a story abut renting the new Segway scooters. The rental location in the article is about two blocks from my apartment. While I haven't tried it out myself yet, they do look cool. Yesterday I saw the results of my first Segway accident. The trail was entirely blocked by EMT's, a stretcher and group of oglers. A firetruck and an ambulance were near by.

I think they only give you the low power key to make them safer, because I never see anyone going very fast, I asked the man's friends what had happened, they responded he just fell off. While I'm sure it could happen to anyone, it does make me think of all the future problems these devices could cause.

Last time I checked people can barely drive on the ground, let alone strapping themselves into their own personal flying car. Cool idea, but I'd like to not have soccer moms crashing into my roof while talking on their cell phones or doing their makeup.

These guys are ay least consistent. Take the original release date and add 9 months to the development cycle.

Every time I see these movies, I can't help but be impressed. I'm not a big flight sim fan, but I think I might have to pick this one up.

Some of them are just smaller versions of those that appeared on Gamespy yesterday.

There may be a lot of them, almost daily but I can't help myself from examining the new STALKER shots. This game looks beautiful, hopefully the gameplay will be as fun as the graphics look nice.

I played the demo through a few times, I'm not sure that I found it all that challenging. What are features are in the full release, is the AI better?

Yeah, I watched the video. I forwarded to my friends, I even burned it to CD figuring it'll be funny still ten years from now. I'm not chipping in one dime. I didn't make the video, sure it sucks for him. But if I had found that video I would have done the same thing. Okay it's brutal, but his friends thought it would be funny and probally kept local. Instead it was huge.

Color me insensitive.

It's a delicate balancing act. Trying to steer work the pedals and pee into a plastic container all at the same time. Sometimes you hit a bump, and you end up with a problem....But all in all I've shaved minutes from my drive time by peeing in containers.

It never occured to me to throw the entire container out the window. That's littering. I usually just dump the contents out at highway speed via the window and save the bottle for later.

At $350.00 for a two room hookup and $120 for each additional room, even if this thing it Giga-fast they've got another thing coming if they think people will adopt this "pretty fast".
