It's my clear GOTY.

I very much enjoy FO4, but GOTY over Witcher 3? No.

There is an Arnold Schwarzenegger voicepack for your soldiers out in the workshop. It is exactly as amazing as that sounds. Get it now before some )*(%&)*%5 lawyer gets wind of it and has it taken down. (As obviously it violates roughly 200000 copyrights .)

This is just to get business off impulse customers, I lost count at the number of people yesterday who said they were getting it before it went up in price.

This. Artificial scarcity / price inflations always make people jump and buy. See Star Citizen.

Bethesda also knows full well that, on the PC at least, few people will spend full price on this.

I debated the season pass. I'm not terribly fond of buying stuff unseen or unannounced, but I thought their DLC for Skyrim was excellent, and I figured I'd love Fallout 4, and I got a big 30% discount from GMG; so, in the end I spent 21 bucks on it, which means I'm getting Far Harbor for a discount and the rest for free. So it's worked out.

The situation you're describing in Germany was already the status quo in Holland like 15 years ago, and I'd had enough of it, which is why I left.

It's about freaking time they made an announcement about this, but the first two sound positively yawn. Looking forward to Far Harbor, though.

Damn, it's a full-fledged exodus at Bioware. This does not bode well at all.

(and of course, I was hoping hoping hoping it would be Mac Fucking Walters who had left, but nope. Never any luck.)

I always ignore fines in ETS2. My trucking company, @128kph, has no time for speed limits.

Trucker, please. Just yesterday I was hauling a light flatbed load of plows down in to SoCal and hit 98 miles an hour on a downgrade. George Thorogood's "Gearjammer" was playing at the time, natch. I laughed heartily.

98 mph. That's cute. I broke 140mph on a stretch of British highway once with a load. Without load (and obviously mods installed), I've gone 200+

(note, the game gets visibly distressed if you go that fast.)

128kph is my average speed for delivering stuff. If it's 1200km away, I'll have it there in fewer than 10 hours. Always fun when it's somewhere in the middle of nowhere, Poland...

Yeah, I'm looking at the keyboard going "the U isn't even near the N..."

I've done the same thing many times, believe me. The best/worst was an early morning ticket I had from a user named Butch. I forward the ticket to him (to ask about the issue) and another tech (who normally supports the user).

The other tech replies to my email "You realize you just called him a bitch, right?"

Cold sweat. WTF? Hop into sent items: "Bitch, what's causing the issue?"

ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...how did this happen? HOW DID THIS HAPPEN????? I finally realize the U in "Butch" is right next to the I on they keyboard. And apparently Outlook has no problems with you calling anyone a bitch, when you're half asleep and miss a letter on the keyboard by a fraction of an inch.

I immediately call the user to apologize and explain, but all I get is voicemail. I leave a a groveling, embarrassing explanation. I then craft an email with the same verbiage, explaining my mistake.

Finally the user calls. I cringe and pickup the phone...

He's laughing his ass off. Apparently this isn't the first time it's happened to him.

SO. If you're ever email anyone named Butch, double check before sending!

Hahaha. Reminds me of the time when a girl from the helpdesk sent a ticket over to us, in which she said that the user complained of a hard dick problem. I Skyped her and asked if she really thought that was something we could/should help with.

She blushed quite cutely.

Last earthquake in OK (over the weekend) was a 5.0. They keep going up in severity too...

As a native Californian, we don't even notice until it's a 6. Go watch the scene in ID4 and you'll understand.

Up until two years ago, the biggest earthquake Oklahoma had ever had was like a 2.8. Now we've had a 4, a 4.5, a 4.6 and now a 5. That's a very disturbing trend...

Especially since they likely won't stop frakking until they've somehow managed to unleash an earthquake that's 72.9 on the Richer scale, and even then they'll try to foist blame elsewhere.

I know the animators need to be paid but there are only so many times you can watch the same stuff happen.

Tell me about it. The "evac up a zipline" animation in Xcom 2 is about to make me murder someone after having seen it 700000000000000000 times....

Should Firaxis be concerned that few people who hadn't played either previous game did not give XCOM 2 a chance? Is XCOM 2 only interesting to Firaxis loyalists?

Uhm, no, Xcom2 is by and large only interesting to Xcom fans and a subset of TBS fans outside of that. This really does not seem that difficult to figure out.

I doubt Firaxis believed they were going to get 8 million new customers with Xcom2 when it's just Xcom:EU made more difficult (and in some cases, more annoying).
