And here I thought when cliffyb announced/begged that he was coming back to the PC platform, it was about as uninteresting as it could get, but nope. Apparently John needs more money too.

extra 20% off on GMG with code APR20

IX is a good game. I've been looking forward to playing through 12 also, as many people have told me that one is really good also. Runs flawlessly on PCSX2 also, so will probably give that one a shot sometime soon.

12 is fine if you like MMO gameplay. Ie, farm creatures for drops. Because you will do a metric fuckload of that in 12. It makes DA:I look like Witcher 3 in comparison...

Because they keep banning all the fucktards who are using scripts in the game instead of actually fixing the problem.

One generates revenue, the other costs money.

I am excited about this game because I love exploring in games and discovering things and uncovering the unknown mysteries. I think if you like doing that like in MMOs and open would games then I think this game is for you . If not then you probably won't like it.

The big worry for most people is that because this is all procedurally generated, you will either very quickly run out of things to see (if they don't have enough biomes to seed from), or, and this is probably more likely, the random generation engine randomly gives you the same thing 2 or 3 times in a row, and you'll very quickly go "Oh, was that it?"

In an MMO, at least you'll know that every zone is likely unique, and was hand crafted. Here you have no such idea, and the fact that most of their videos show rather similar planets does not help.

We'll see, this could be awesome, but I'll need some massively positive word of mouth before I'll take a $60 gamble.

1) admit to FBI you did it
2) Realize you're going to go to jail
3) Claim you didn't actually do it, and blame some drug for saying you did it
4) Whine about how unfair and shitty the government is being to you, after waiving your Miranda rights and rejecting three plea bargain deals.
5) ...?
6) Profit!

Ford has had a terrible suspension on the Mustang for decades. There's a reason people always say the fucking thing can't take a corner. It's only good in a straight line, and that matters absolutely nowhere but at a drag race.

That's no longer true on the 2015 (and 2016) models. IRS on all models.

But still, 430hp with a limited slip diff gets people into trouble in a hurry.

Well, you have a download option so you don't have to stream. It's like 72gb of video though.

Oh, you have data caps? WELL FUCK YOU.
/Microsoft
I mean, at least include the damn video on the disc??

As for "turning into a live action tv show", they've advertised that there would be live action episodes between the actual playable chapters since the beginning. Actually enjoyed that part of it, especially when I realized they were actual full episodes, with little changes based on your game decisions, not just tiny cut scenes where actors barely have a chance to do anything.

Is there a way to skip those 20 minute cutscenes?

Without having read the article, I'm going to say that indie devs should probably also consider that without Steam, 99.999999% of them would never have been able to release their games.

Websites are yelling at viewers/customers about adblockers, when they need to be yelling at the advertisers. Make the ads uniform, unobtrusive, 100% safe and I'll turn the adblocker off. Until then, you can post up the "turn off your adblocker if you want to view this site" all you want, I'll just not visit your site (used to go to Wired all the time, never visit now, as one example).

Yep, agree fully. Bitching at your customers is never the answer, but that's a truth that apparently hasn't sunk in yet with a large number of website owners. I'm not going to open up my computer to shitloads of potential attack vectors just because you're too lazy to figure out a better business model.

Can you think of anything that would kill Facebook faster than every single idiot posting, every, single, mundane, piece of crap they do, all day, every day, and everyone else getting spammed with alerts for all said crap. It would be like a feedback loop of complete crap, presuming it isn't already.

You just described Twitter. To a tee. So no, sadly, it would not die out. It would just become an even bigger and sadder narcissist circle jerk than Twitter already is.

Fake bear is fake.

I dunno, dude. I'm usually the first to cry fake, but this seems pretty legit. With the snow swirling around and the bear running through it, it'd be a LOT of work to splice that in there.

It is taking them just stupidly long to release the CK this time around. Might it have something to do with them trying hard to pawn quite underwhelming DLC? (so far, I hope Far Harbor will be awesome) Nah.
