Net neutrality is done. The second Trump replaces Wheeler, it's over.

Look forward to getting 50GB caps for your $100 monthly internet fees, broadband being classified as 128kbps, and every single byte of traffic not owned by your ISP being charged with a dollar overage fee. Yay.

Oh, and here comes Wells Fargo for your money again, because after all, those banking regulations we got after 2008 clearly need to go. They are hurting America after all...

What's with the games releasing on Fridays instead of Tuesdays.
I am not complaining, I think it is awesome.

I think it's because the EU kept complaining they got the game three days later than the US.

So now everyone gets it on Friday. I guess that makes it better for the EU?

That aside, very excited for this

California Prop 59 - Passed
Totally meaningless, nothing will come of it.

Small steps. A few more states need to pass this measure, then maybe someone in the freaking supreme court will wake up and realize they were being utter, utter morons when they made this decision.

Yeah, you probably shouldn't buy this.

On the bright side ISIS is done for! Trump can now launch his secret plan and they will be wiped off the map! What? Oh, this isn't a Marvel Comics movie? Sorry. Nevermind.

Trump will just send Luke Cage. He's YOOOGE! Don't even worry about it.

Well, if that's the case, you're only hope is to get a boat and live in the open sea. Because you're saying that democracy never works. Or do you offer a solution?

Yeah, and it's not that difficult a solution either. Stop with the ridiculous cash contributions for policy. Everyone's railing about the Supreme Court going republican, but it was the democratically led SCOTUS that did the utterly insane "Corporations can now bribe politicians directly" interpretation.

Stop lobbying. Stop bribes. Stop letting Comcast just give a senator 30K in "campaign contributions", and suddenly that Senator is voting that Comcast should be allowed to raise their fees by 17000 dollars a month, and now comcast subscriptions are mandatory for everyone living in their service area.

I mean, they're not even TRYING to hide it anymore.

There used to be a time when this shit was illegal, but not anymore. As long as this goes on, the entire concept of democracy is null and void. Maybe we can call it "Democracy for the Rich."

It's proof that we are not ruled by an oligarchy. We can dislike, fear, and even dread the results but we must admit, our democracy works.

It is / does it? We can still elect a weirdo as president, but the next four years will pretty much guaranteed go against the wishes of 90+% of the population, and be entirely dictated by the will of those with millions/billions to spend in lobbying fees bribes.

I'm fairly sure that's considered an oligarchy...

The Dems need to find someone electable.

All the dems who I hear bitching and moaning today, I just give them the same spiel I gave them in 2004. "That there was the Republican candidate, and you couldn't find ANYONE to beat THAT. You only have your freaking selves to blame."

I can't say I care for the man but Trump is the enema that Washington and the media need right now.

Yeah, it was the anti-establishment vote. I'm just petrified at the thought of him actually repealing all the "keep corporations in check" laws and rules that we've finally put into place over the past dozen years... Because if he does, prepare for four years of bending over for the likes of Comcast and Wells Fargo.

That said, the idea of Hillary Clinton being forcefully ejected from politics is quite delicious.

and that the ugliness of this all will cease with a final outcome

Why would it? It'll simmer down into the background again, but this insane division between left and right has just gotten truly ludicrous, with both sides just sitting there with their fingers jammed in their ears, bleating "I AM NOT LISTENING TO YOU" at the top of their lungs.

I could gladly and righteously tear Microsoft a new one for countless things they've done.

Though still, I think it's only fair to point out in this case it apparently isn't their fault, or their awful store that I hope dies, but rather Activision who decided to prevent the players joining eachother's games.

Correct. Even so, it's quite hilarious that two people (apparently) bought it from the MS store.
