Yes. There are races that cover most of the map too. Longest is 24 miles of driving, around the entire map.

YUP. Keep in mind, the team that makes the Forza Horizon games is made of people who made the early Dirt games, Burnout Paradise, and Project Gotham. It plays as well as it looks.
Sadly, it doesn't appear that the demo is available on Steam. If you can stand it, grab the demo on the Microsoft store. It gives you a surprising amount of content (although it WILL NOT save your progress), and a large area to scoot around in.

So the only DLC worth getting is usually the actual land expansions, not the extra cars (unless you have a serious hard-on for a specific car). You get HUNDREDS of cars in the regular game.
