No kidding Gimpz0r. I'm tired of all flash and no substance. It's blizzard, so I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, but then again Microsoft failed as did EA.

ROFL, I bet David made sure his ugly mug was plastered somewhere in the game.

I don't know about EaB, but Generals probably doesn't deserve more than a 75. It has a lot of very stupid problems that make it very clear that it was rushed out the door before they even tried to start polishing it. Expect a long string of patches in the future.

Earth and beyond was NOT a game worthy of a 90 rating. anyone who played it more than a day knows this. It's BORING, repetetive and completely lacks any kind of content. It shore wuz purdy tho. If those scores were flipped, it would be more accurate. Also, I don't know WTF kind of problems people are having with Generals, but I've run into ZERO problems. My guess is that it's a case of mass PEBKAC errors, either that or PICNIC errors or CKI issues:

*PEBKAC (pronounced "peb-kack") = Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair
* CKI issue - the problem with the chair-keyboard interface
* PICNIC - "Problem In Chair, Not In Computer"

Fredrickson, if that's what I think it is, you have some REALLY poor taste. I rarely wish harm on people, but for that post I hope you get your ass royally beaten.

Here's hoping blue BANS YOUR SORRY ASS.

I feel sorry for the people who put all that work into the project only to see it cancelled, but gotta respect them for not pushing something onto the market that wasn't ready.

Re: #11

yep. we're entirely too anal about nudity in this country. Blowing someone away is fine, but show a little skin and out come the censors. the (female) body is a beautiful thing and it SHOULD be shown as much as possible.

That's the smell of desperation.

No, that smell is the splooge from those fat, greasy nerds stroking their bones over the new nude females.

What's so bad in nudity? If a game has nudity every one immediately assumes that it's a sucky game.

There's a difference between games that feature nudity as PART of the game and those that release a special patch to add it because their sales tanked and because that's the only way they can potentially attract new customers.

Pretty sad that they had to resort to pixellated T&A to sell a few copies. This is simply a gimmick to get sales, and they will probably get a few because of it - but in all honesty, if I wanted spend money to see a pair of tits, I'd hit the local strip club and get the real thing, not some polygonal or bitmapped sprite.

I just downloaded the BCM Hi quality demo, and (running Win XP Pro here) I tried to install it and it says "The operating system is not adequate for running Battlecruiser Millennium Demo"

what a joke. (and yes, my system specs are MORE than adequate.)

*sigh*

just what we need. yet ANOTHER fantasy based MMORPG. With this and World of Warcraft and the 20 other Fantasy MMORPGS....boy, which Orc do I kill next? We DON'T need another fantasy MMORPG. It would be nice to have a strategy game based on a good sci-fi license and engine. Galactic Battlegrounds was less than stellar because it was Age of Rehashing this engine with different units. And Starcraft has been played out.

ENOUGH SWORDS AND ORCS!! GIVE ME A FRIGGING GUN AND AN ALIEN!

ROLEPLAYING? In Ultima Online? Surely you jest! I can see it only as a valid tool for secure item exchange between your own characters. Otherwise it's nothing but a resource hog. Then again, I never had any trouble swapping things between characters in EQ so even that point is somewhat moot.

You can't have houses that can be destroyed or have a minimum restriction like you proposed, that would give the powergamers in the big guilds all the land and make housing worthless to the people who don't wish to join a bunch of losers. That said, I will also make note that there *are* still some good people in UO. They're just few and far between.

That's *IF* you can find a frickin spot of land to place a house. Housing does nothing but give people a place to store crap. which means more shit that has to be stored on the server which means more data transferred to clients which means more bandwidth consumed which means more lag because Raistlin #487 has to have 3000 of every item in 500 different chests, and has to have this and that so he can look like susie homemaker when Legolas #643 and Gandalf #1254 come over to talk smack about how they just aZZ r@p3d a guy trying to mine some ore.
