Von Helmet as we also need tighter rules to stop you from getting your hands on 12 year olds.

This just doesn't sound like intelligent conversation to me. You can argue a point without becoming personal, and you may come across as more adult without it.

1) Larry is an idiot or a child.

2) Those that enjoy pornography or titillation do not nessisarily veiw woman as purely objects. All they are doing it for, is a sexual curiosity. I have a great respect for women, and I view them as equals (maybe even more in some cases). We are geneticly programed as male humans to be stimulated by observing sexuality. It is not unhealthy to satisfy that urge as long as all parties are concenting adults.

And, yes, I am behind you 100% about keeping it out of the hands of 12 year olds, because it can effect the sexual developement of children. But this should be the job of the parent. Having government raise our children by reducing our freedoms is also very dangerous as well. We should as a culture, know more about what they are doing and become more involved in their lives. Not regulate everything so that we live in a Fisher Price world.

LOL. You are funny :). But I dissagree. Masturbation is sex. It involves a sexual act. If i did it on the street, the cops would say it is. It just happens to be with yourself.

But the true point is this. Pornography is made by adults and is for people who have already developed their sexual selves. These are fully grown individuals who have already formed opinions on the oposite sex. The magazine is a fantacy, and if someone doesn't realize that, they were screwed up from the beginning. The magazine or game or movie cannot change that. So when people are calling for pornography to be banned, who are they trying to protect? I would concider myself somewhat addicted to it, but I still refuse to sleep with women and leave them for my own gratification. I don't unless one of 2 things have occured.

1) I paid for it (wont go there).

2) I feel a bond on a personal level.

Pornography hasn't made me the sexual monster that you fear. Nor has it done so to any of my friends (some of which are bigger collectors than I am).

<quote>It also completely detaches sex from love, which is a dumb thing.</quote>

Porn does nothing. It just is. People make up their own minds about morality, love and sex. Not magazines.

As a matter of fact, I'm sure there are less men out there sleeping with women they don't love just to get their rocks off when they have a good porn mag to release themselves with.

question: when you are masturbating, are you in love with your hand? (dont say you don't, please)

Some would deny sex, sexuality, titillation. Doing so is like denying eating. "I would never put anything in my mouth!" seems a bit rediculous to say doesn't it. Granted, it isn't something you want to force onto children, or anyone who thinks that they can portray some saintly unisexual image by saying that it isn't a turn on to see someone of their preference in the buff.

It's called human nature. We are a sexual animal, so of course it is going to appeal to the masses. Those who do not look at porn, play pornographic games, indulge in titillation, are (guess what) thinking about it. So what is the difference? You get yours your way, and the rest will get ours our way.

If you want to start the argument "It objectifies women", sure it does, a woman is an object. So is a man for that matter. The "Object of your Desire". When you look at your woman before jumping her bones, you aren't imagining her personlity. Although she may want to believe it, "She is such a nice person" doesn't get it up.

If you think women in pornography are being used, you could say that is true. But were they duped into it? I don't think so (rare cases may apply for women who don't know the difference between a beaver shot and modeling swimwear). The average woman is paid INSAINLY more then men in the industry. Many also set up their own porn related business or become directors or producers themselves. Having men being the majority of the customer base would explain their successes. So it would seem that they are using men in that reguard: they are getting our money.

So, before you pass jugment on those that enjoy it, who is it hurting, why should I care and try growing up a little bit before becomeing a finger wagger. And realize you are a minority.
