Hot damn, I remember playing the original
Carrier Command on the Atari ST back in the day. I loved that game, especially once I figured out that the best strategy was to hunt down the enemy carrier at the start of the game and send it to the bottom of the sea.

Huh, I have to agree. Those "original" screens do look more impressive. And the actor models remind me of something I would see in a start-of-the-art game... back in the 90's. But one of the original's charms was that there WERE no other people... it was you, your robotic carrier, and the opposing AI-controlled robotic carrier.
Just as a side-note, I got a giggle how they have the title ("Gaea Mission") with a big mushroom cloud underneath it. "Screw you, Mother Earth!"
