"bf1942 is a steaming pile of ass. any game that allows you to fly a plane with a mouse and do it well does not do justice to the greatest conflict of all time. "

LOL! Only a WW2OL players would criticize a developer fo making a game player friendly and for considering gameplay issues! Hahahaha. Funny how BF1942 has an average review score of 89 percent and is nominated for game of the year from many gaming publications.

"ww2online is far from perfect. but for what it is its better than anything else out there. bf1942 cant hold its jewel case."

What was WW2OL's average review score again? Oh yeah! 57%. HAHAHAHA.

Heh, Lucifer

about a year ago, CRS had a player counter... then for some strange reason, the counter started adding 1200 extra players. So if there were 400 people online, it would read as 1600 people.

People got wise to this, and CRS claimed it was a "Bug", and removed the counter. Now, they just keep the player numbers hidden, but the game probably still has the same number of players as a few months ago. About 400 players during non-peak hours, 1200 during peak hours.

It's kinda funny, because one single EverQuest server gets 1200 players during non-peak hours, and there are 26 servers.

LOL!

WW2OL related forums are not every single forum on the internet.

Anyone with any ounce of decency should be banned from a WW2OL related forum

Player2Player = Playnet sponsored forum
Waterthread = Playnet investor forum
TheOfficerClub = Dragon's (Playnet employee) forums
WW2OL Forums = Redneck scum forums.

It's funny to see after 18 months WW2OL still going around claiming that any second, the game will be good and people will come back. Hahaha. Meanwhile, the game is wallowing in bankrupcy.

ORB was a pretty good SF game. Took 4 years to develop though.

It's funny how WW2OL people think that WW2OL is some kind of unique gaming gem, or something. It's funny how such a unique game was not even nominated for most innovative game at E3 the last few years.

"Hey Blair, they are the ones who set the release date, put out preorder boxes, etc., not me. Obviously i'm not the dumb one, they dont look much smarter than strategy first IMHO."

LOL! When CRS signed the publishing deal, they agreed to the release date. It's not Strategy First's fault that CRS was not finished when the release date came up. A publisher can never force a developer to produce a gold CD. SF stated that CRS could have had an extension. But Playnet/CRS said the game was ready, probably because they didnt want to pay the late fee. Can't blame the publishers for the incompetance of the developer.

On the bright side, I'm glad Strategy First is doing the right thing by not promoting WW2OL. I liked how they left WW2OL out of their 2002 lineup booklet, and how they dont try very hard to promote it. It's great to see so many Canadian stores having WW2OL listed as being "DISCONTINUED" HAHAHA!

"Wrong again Blair. 566 people playing BF1942 according to GameSpy. More people playing Half-Life and Medal of Honor, BF1942 will disappear much faster than WW2OL. "

LOL! Try 5006. And that isnt even including the non-gamespy listed servers. Hahahaha

"ShadowBane was to buggy to release. Will they squash all them bugs? As a ShadowBane fanboi Blair, im sure it must suck to be you. "

Why would it suck? Why would Wolfpack pull a CRS and release a half-finished game? Not all game companies are as corrupt as CRS. You sure are dumb

Isnt it funny how BF1942 has 5x more players than WW2OL and has review scores in the 80's and 90's?

Nobody plays WW2OL...

Therefore anybody that plays WW2OL is a nobody.

Didnt you know? Playnet/CRS declared bankrupcy back in December 2001. But instead of doing the right thing and declaring Chapter 7 bankrupcy and liquidating their assets, they decided to screw over their creditors by declaring Chapter 11 bankrupcy and begged a judge to let them stay in business.

LOL! 12 months later, they are still in Bankrupcy.

Heh, it doesn't sound like pitiful begging...

It IS pitiful begging. They're obviously hoping that people will try the free trial, then forget to cancel and then they'll be billed for 64.95 for the next six months. I think it's time to notify the Better Business Bureau (again)

Ohhhh...

The players left CRS in a pinch
CRS thought the game would be a cinch
But soon they ran out of money
The Trolls think it is funny
And the game was dead before it moved an inch

[CHORUS]
Oh, can you spare some players
Cause nobody plays WW2OL
Development's so slow, it feels out of sorts
Their tails, they're still chasin
no idea which way they facing...
Has anyone here seen CRS's corpse

Oooohhh....
Fanboyz are out promoting WW2OL again
Claiming the game is a gorgeous gem
They asked me to join their side
I just laughed until I cried
And said get your skill at begging up to ten

Why would I care if I am banned from a WW2OL sympathizing site like The Officers Club?

Look at the screenshot again, and read the part that indicates what the the current subscription plan is.

$12.95 a month? No no no... you obviously haven't heard about CRS's latest scam. They took away the 12.95 per month... and replaced it with $64.95 per 6 months without telling anyone. See?

http://www.geocities.com/blair1942/

Notice how there aren't any other billing options. Here's an unfortunate victim of CRS's latest scam. Notice how his thread got locked

1) Anyone who thinks WW2OL is decent is scum
2) WW2OL is not very special at all and does nothing new
3) Taking 10-15 minutes to set up is not fun
4) Germany does not exist in WW2 Online
5) Planes with Romulan Cloaking Technology is top notch?

When a pay per play game has to open up all cancelled accounts without the account owner's consent every few months, just to get people to play... well, doesn't that tell you something about the game itself?

Well, with Planetside and Shadowbane both due out next year, I'm certain those looking for a MMOG with a PvP twist will have plenty of choice...

Star Wars Galaxies and EverQuest 2 are due out next year as well. It'll be interesting to see how WW2OL and the other MMOGs deal with the next wave.
