Its not a 'preview of a preview' its a preview of an article. The article has nothing to do with the contents of the game, but the development process behind it. Their previous "final hours of" arcticles have been excellent.
Oh and they arent unlocking until 16th because of the contract between Valve and VU. There have been 0 legitimate sales so far. Retailers have been told not to release it before the 16th, if they break the date, its not legit.

Id rather have a level editor than a demo, but Eidos wont have any of it.

Its not the lenght of the game that counts, its the depth.
In the original commandoes you could gather your men together and simply shoot every single guard from behind cover. Even if a whole group of 20 men came at you, your infinate ammo capacity guns would just rip though them. After every single guard was dead you just strolled around and completed the objectives 
but the engine looks good enough to fuck, so who cares?

Ive played the alpha, theres a short intro sequence and then a demo showing the gameplay on 3 maps . You can also play these maps yourself but there not complete so theres isnt much to do.
As a preview poster said, you will need to tweak the settings a bit to get it running at an acceptable speed.
Doesnt spoil anything, just makes me want the full game even more.
