I wouldn't trust those bad metacritic user comments; a lot of them were up before the game was even unlocked.

I know many people who've been waiting for ME for $5, so I'm sure they're selling a crazy number of copies right now.

Too much of that going on in the world already: 1400 years of jihad and currently, including more than 14,000 Islamic terror attacks since 9/11 alone.

(For the historically-illiterate, the first Crusade was called by Pope Urban II in response to a desperate call for aid from Christians in the East under attack from . . . Islam.)

Uhm... you mean, under attack while they were occupying a part of the world that didn't belong to them? Just like you're now apparently counting 14,000 attacks as "jihadist" even though almost all of them are based on people trying to fend off foreign occupation (in Iraq and Afghanistan)? Occupation that was conducted in clear violation of international war and just war principles and has cost hundreds of thousands of innocent civilian lives? Come on.

Yeah, Christians have always been the poor persecuted ones. Just ask the Jews. Or the witches.

I understand that you're proud of your Horus-replica Jesus and his oft-contradictory stories. But your twisting of the facts is really quite astounding.

Totally agreed on Torchlight. I bought it for $20 when it first came out, and it's been worth every penny. $5 is an incredible steal.

Man, downloads are slow. They must be doing great business. Usually Steam gives me my full 2.2 MB/s, but it's down to 200kb/s now. Been waiting all morning for Witcher to download

I bought Mirror's Edge last time it was on sale for $5, and it was definitely worth it. That's as cheap as renting it. Plus, I actually found the controls on the PC to be better than on my PS3 (demo).

Yeah, these Steam sales rock. I've already pulled the trigger on Riddick, FarCry 2, and The Witcher.

The demo sold me on the game as well. Lots of fun.

I've got only one set piece so far (made it to level 14); if I find a second one, I get 9-11 electricity damage bonus. Given that my bow does 234/sec, it's not huge, but I'll take it

For a while there I ran around with a unique rifle (sorcell's) and a unique coat that looks like the enforcer's coat from Fallout 3. That fitting stylishness just felt really cool

I resisted getting Uncharted when it first came out--and I must admit I used to dismiss achievements as somewhat silly--but now I'm feeling the pull of trophies.

Strange how such a little tweak can have a big impact.

Our political system has gone to hell a long time before these two; back when it turned into a two-party system.

As to the matter on hand, it makes perfect sense to complain about the limitations of physical media and not do digital distribution. Because if your game is 25GB big, it's a problem for both.

(I pulled that number out of my ass, but they said that they have to severely compress it on the DVDs for the 360, which would make that cramped version 14GB for two discs, say--and more on Blu-Ray, where they don't have to compress it as much, leading to better visuals on the PS3.)

What Carmac also said is that Rage will look better on the PS3 than the 360 thanks to all that space on a Blu-Ray disc.

That's not the moral at all. The Spartans are obviously the evil people in the story. They kill off most of their own babies, for fuck's sake. Toss them down the side of a cliff to die among corpses and bones of thousands of other babies. How much more evil can you be?

I think TB means the Resistance 2 screenshots. But I'm not sure they are target renders... this is not that far away from RFOM.

I'm going to love the hell out of this game. I still play RFOM coop with my sons these days.

Does the Ps3 have some big titles coming out before summer I'm not aware of?

LittleBigPlanet, for one.

I liked the demo, but it wasn't as much fun as, say, Call of Duty 4. I'm curious to see how much power they'll get out of the PS3 though.
