I've never actually played D&D, but probably every video game I've played has either been influenced directly or indirectly by it. I can't quite imagine what gaming would be like without such inspiration. RIP.

Having actually played the whole way through the game (patched to 1.2) a few years ago, it isn't THAT bad. It wasn't the best game in the world, but I enjoyed it and felt it was worth the $10 I spent on it from eBay.

I have waited for this day. It feels kinda surreal after all the rumors for years about a sequel. What's next, DNF being released? Can't wait for this one. Wahoo.

Neocron was my first MMORPG and thus is special to me. Even so, with the mistreatment of the playerbase that was the release of Neocron 2, I stopped playing in Sepember 2004. I played the trial back in April but wasn't impressed. Charging people almost full price for an Expansion which became a false-sequel and then increasing subscription rates with the promise of better service but then not delivering... Sigh.

I was disappointed. Neocron has a unique atmosphere and game-world and could be a lot better. I've still been lurking on their forums waiting to see if things get worth spending as much as I do for World of Warcraft to play.

On a positive note, regarding the use of PayPal, it's about time. Hopefully this 2.2 brings about some good changes.

I enjoyed the original SiN, Star Trek: Elite Force 2 and the Quake Mission Pack they did. I bought Emergence, but got addicted to WoW and have barely touched any other game since.

And despite my lack of interest in episodic games (though I bought Emergence and HL2 Ep1 anyways), seeing an old company get bought out like this is a bit depressing.

Wow. I thought prices were supposed to go down by cutting out the box, cd, manual, store, etc. and selling it online. Instead it goes up? GJ!

Well, this is disappointing. I understand delays are inevitable, but as others have said, what's the point of calling them rapid releases and what's the point of episoding gaming with such long intervals between releases. I'm sure it'll be worth it, especially for TF2, but it's still a disappointment.

Much as I want it to be Starcraft 2, after reading some othe other comments I'm thinking it'll end up being "Red Alert 3". I recall hearing that they were making it some time ago, but no further news.

If game publishers could simply make people want to be customers - by treating them as a customer and not a potential criminal - I think they'll see better sales.

The Music and Movie industries could learn something from this...

I hope you're right. You can't do anything these days without running into some advertisement. Last thing we need is it in games.

From what I read on the forums when this was first announced, this minigame was a project done by a group of new members to the Reakktor team. It was done as an initiation project or some such.

I'm rather curious how this turned out. It looks like just a bunch of graphical updates and a few tweaks to the faction system. Not fixes to the long list of old bugs that have been around since the betas or addition of features which were promised before the release over a year ago.

Thanks to the developer's stupid decision to lock the Community forums up so that non-customers (or old inactive customers) can't see what's up. If I hadn't heard mention of this idea months ago, I might be suspicious of their motives.

Eventually I'll try the trial anyways, but I'm in no hurry.

Note to publishers/developers: This whole Christmas rush thing is completely idiotic. Just a few months back I had absolutely nothing to play, but there are a ton of games I am interested in that are all aiming for the Christmas shopping period. As it stands, I will be purchasing something like six games in a two month period - the "winners" I have picked out of the massive swarm of some fourteen games I am interested in.

Well said. I'll probably end up getting 1 game at most, and waiting for the post-Christmas falloff in prices/sales.

Spike TV's "Video Games" Award show sucked last year and I won't even bother with it this year. It was just an excuse to have a bunch of hip-hop/rappers on TV and looks about the same this year. And then they toss in a few console games with maybe a PC Game or two and call it an Awards show.

Blue's is too good to be nominated. To have it mentioned on such a crappy show would probably be a disservice.

This is going to be totally kick ass. I just played the original trilogy a few months ago and the ambiance still scared the hell out of me.
